No lives were threatened, proceedings were not stopped and no Trump morons put their feet up on any desks in Wisconsin. Some people are just so desperate to make themselves feel better about what happened on January 6, even if it means distorting the facts.

DO you guys realize yet that the insurrection on Jan 6 was partially organized and financed by Trump and his allies? You do realize it was an attempt to overturn the election based on ridiculous lies put out there and constantly promoted by Trump to benefit Trump? Trump egged them on, his lawyer egged them on, Jr egged them on, Trump directed them, Republican lawmakers egged them on, Trump said he would be with them. Trump told them to stand by. THen he told them to come to DC. THen he told them to head to the capitol building. Was Pelosi out there doing that in 2011? Because then we could at least compare them.
You see the difference right? 2011 protesters were upset about something that actually happened vs this complete fabrication to overturn a rightfully elected President. Difference? No? "The Steal" never happened.
Did anyone die in 2011 protest?
There are certain points to be made here about violent protests, storming federal buildings, not encouraging the mob, violence, etc...and to certain extents they are valid. Was Pelosi praising the large protest standing up to union busting....or praising them storming the Federal building and threatening lawmakers? Did she denounce the unlawful actions of the Protest? You are generalizing her comments about something not comparable in order to justify Trump trying to overturn the election he lost in order to unlawfully remain in power. You are ignoring them bringing guns into the capital and threatening the VP, the Speaker, and many members of Congress. You are ignoring that Trump staff financed and organized for this riot. You are ignoring that 2011 was based on disagrement based on truth....and this being a disagreement based on a complete LIE with ZERO evidence.

There is a world wide fascist movement often referred to as the white replacement theory. Trump without using the exact words was appealing to adherents of this movement. The inroads of fascism have already been laid in this country. However Trump legitimized white supremacy in his words and policies. His appeal that the election was stolen was not based on an actual stolen election but were a call to white supremacy and white supremists.
Trump organized the Jan 6 rally in Washington DC and invited this violence. Arnold was right when he said this was similar to the Beerhall Putsch in Germany.
He and these domestic terrorists must be held accountable or it will happen again

Everything I said that wasnt personal opinion is backed up by actual video, tweets, etc....ie Trump egging on his supporters, Guiliani, Jr egging on the supporters, etc, or reported in Major news outlets.
His staff was caught organizing for this "rally" He was caught donating money to these right wing groups prior to the election using shell corporations from his campaign. That has been documented. There is another $500,000 in bitcoin that was given to these groups prior that they cant track. This was funded. It wasn't some grass roots thing. Sure there were some people there that were following the crowd, doing what they felt was right...but the main players, the proud boys, the white supremacists, 3%'rs or whatever they are, the 1776rs, many of those groups received heavy funding outside of their normal donation averages from specific groups. Trumps campaign and staff were one of the major contributors.
If you knew how to use google, or read a newspaper, instead of your facebook feed, you might have picked up on some of this. The white supremacist movement was exploited and used to further the aims of one person...Trump. He used them, he used the fundamentalists...like he cares about them...he used working white men...like he cares about them...he sells snake oil to enrich himself. He isnt a crusader....he is a conman. Yet you slavishly defend him like he is Jesus.
Trump was somewhere around 0-60 in court cases in proving the election stolen. Do you believe it was stolen? Do you have any evidence that isn't hearsay or bs posted on youtube with a false narrative and lies? I'm sure Trump, Mitch, Rudy, Fox News, Newsmax, OAN, etc would LOVE to hear about it. They would love anything solid they could build a narrative around...instead of....hearsay and baseless accusations. Heck the AG in Texas is offering a million dollars for anyone that will step forward with proff...only one person is trying to collect so far....someone who has proof some Republican voters tried to commit voter fraud. Wonder why no one is collecting that money with all the evidence floating around. He took you fools for a ride, watched you all go down and basically commit treason....and now is all watching them all get arrested and face federal jail when he could have pardoned them....or showed proof of fraud....or told the truth for once.

If the threat of a Capital breach was so great (information ignored by all law agencies) then where were the riot geared local law enforcement or National Guard? Who gave the order to open the barricades and open the doors into the capital?
Evidence of election fraud or interference...state legislatives received evidence and concluded there was fraud. One lawsuit was able to move to evidentiary phase and found 11% of the signatures were invalid, enough to change the election for that state.
Two good books to live by, the Bible and US Constitution...too many liberals believe these are living documents/suggestions. .

Joe Machin the Democratic senator from West Virginia has already publicly announced that he will not be voting to end the filibuster or expanding the Supreme Court. Several other Democrats in the Senate have made similar comments.
As long as they continue to take that position it does not seem like there will be 25 Supreme Court Justices anytime soon.

Some of you are expecting too much of the dems. The first thing they are taught when they go to the Senate is roll over and show their belly. They are labelled radical leftists but they are moderates. There will be no expansion of the Supreme Court unless something big happens like Roe V Wade is overturned. They will not end the fillibuster despite the fact that they suck at using it and the Republicans use it to death and quite effectively. They are afraid if they do anything too far left of center they will lose the midterms...which they usually do because dems dont vote in the midterms. It's the reason we got the ACA, a Republican healthcare plan, and not universal healthcare or even a Government option.
Imagine if we had a real democracy in this country? It would be so much better. Instead we have this democratic republic where the representation of people in states like South Dakota is 3x the representation of people in California.

It's hard enough to get 2-10 people to agree on how a small company should be run, thus the reason for a CEO, CFO, board of directors etc., imagine trying to get 300+ million to agree on anything.
One of the problems, according to former congressmen, is that when they're first elected after they're welcomed at the 'freshman' lunch, or whatever, they're split into repub & dem and go they're separate ways. They should be kept together as a group and allowed to meet and talk to each other, maybe if they did they could look at each other and see people who are also there to try to govern, rather than people who are, if not 'the enemy', an obstacle to over come.
If nothing else it would at the very least allow them to see each other as colleagues rather than something else.
Course, I could be EXTREMELY naive.

Well... if there is one thing we have learned over the last year... we want government managing healthcare. The Federal Government has done a great job managing the virus response.
California has gone such a great job... they gave up even trying to roll out the vaccine and hired the private sector to do it.
Government is so effective and efficient... we should let them run everything!
Concerning the riot at the capitol... it was a horrible thing and every one of those clowns should be fully prosecuted.
But... let’s stop making this more than it is. Democracy was never in danger. They could have killed Pence and Pelosi... and two more would move up. They attacked a symbol of our democracy. That’s how you know they were idiots. Taking over a building changes nothing. We are a country of laws... that don’t cease to exist because some goofballs don’t understand how it works.
Hell... they slowed it down a few hours... even if those goons wouldn’t have left the building. The politicians would have went somewhere else and confirmed the electoral college vote.
It was a terrible thing. It was an embarrassing display of idiocy... but stop acting like democracy was ever really threatened. It was a fools errand that had ZERO chance of success.
