Even if the Republicans don't vote to convict, they will be on the record. It's gonna be hard to defend that record in 2022 and 2024 when they are up for reelection.
Even Jim Jordan realizes a losing hand, so he's too chicken to give up his House seat to run for the open Senate seat in Ohio.
GOP is headed for a massive fracture unless they somehow find a way to bring trumpers back into the fold. But if they do, they risk losing moderate Republicans for a generation or worse.

If that was President Obama who did all of the crazy insane bat-shit things that Trump has done, the same bitch ass RePubicans would have tried to crucify and impeach him!
