That’s an easy one. Aerosols ≠ carbon dioxide.
Less aerosols in the air means less gases that cool off the Earth.
Temporarily.
“ The counterintuitive finding highlights the influence of airborne particles, or aerosols, that block incoming sunlight. When emissions of aerosols dropped last spring, more of the Sun’s warmth reached the planet, especially in heavily industrialized nations, such as the United States and Russia, that normally pump high amounts of aerosols into the atmosphere.
....
The new study highlights the complex and often conflicting influences of different types of emissions from power plants, motor vehicles, industrial facilities, and other sources. While aerosols tend to brighten clouds and reflect heat from the Sun back into space, carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases have the opposite effect, trapping heat near the planet’s surface and elevating temperatures.“

Short answer is that everything leads to warmer temps cause that's the narrative

notice since the coronation on king joe and queen kamalala gas gone up 40 cents a gallon

Yes, you're on the right track Lucky "Seems a little silly to think that 1 year of less pollution would stop warming of the planet. Took 30 years to get to where we are now, why would one year stop everything?" But humans have been releasing the energy of trapped sunlight in the form of carbon on an industrial scale since the industrial revolution in the 1800s. The CO2 content of the earth's atmosphere had been below 300 PPM going back 800,000 years, now it's past 400 PPM; again it's the rate of change that's the problem. Not only do we need to bring the net CO2 released to zero, but we'll also need to remove the CO2 we've been releasing for the last 200 years because the earth is a closed ecosystem.

You really can't understand this? Then there is no hope in expaining because you couldn't.......never mind.

I heard a scientist on the radio today. He said implementation of the green new deal will reduce global temps by 0.05 degrees. And it will take 50 years to do it!
Are you willing to pay tens of thousands of dollars more in taxes, increased costs, and increased inconveniences, to lower the temperature in Los Angeles from 75 degrees to 74.95 degrees?
I'm not.

Airline vapor trails also have a measurable cooling impact. Was noticed and measured first after 9/11.

Earth heats up because the hot air coming from Covidiots and conspiracy theorists saying covid is fake rises faster and is more dense than regular air and it traps more heat in the atmosphere.
If you stupid fucks would stop spewing all that bullshit, the planet could cool off a little bit.

We had something like 20 weather events last year that are related to climate change last year that cost over a billion dollars each. Google it.
The oil and gas companies are losing billions as everyone shifts away to renewable energy. Google Exxon quarterly losses
I dont see why we cannot get on the same page whether or not you believe in climate change.
It is costing billions and getting worse. It is a dying industry. Renewable energy is the future...and you guys want to go back to coal...because....because....miners need to spend more time breathing coal dust instead of being retrained to work in renewable energy for a better future for them and their kids.

The Earths North pole and equator has been slowly shifting around for millions of years with a distinct affect on local climates in a given area. Millions of years.
No one can argue that CO2 emissions is a "good" thing of course but you have to realize that the earths oceans ( roughly 2/3 of the surface ) is a buffer for CO2 gas. The ocean absorbs CO2 gas and converts it to a weak acid in ocean water.
The point is that when a certain volume of CO2 is emitted into the atmosphere it doesnt all stay there.
This is over and above what trees and plants do by converting CO2 back to O2.
Should we let the Government use this whole climate hysteria arguement to raise taxes when they haven't even presented a solid plan yet?.. SERIOUSLY
Meanwhile Russia is resuming oil/gas pipeline construction and China plans to keep building coal burning power plants.
I hope that Lemonade at least tastes good because it's going to cost a lot.

So funny people are trying to think of climate change as small changes.
Or in terms of dollars, like a business proposition or what you order for lunch.
This may be why we are fucked--because people can't even imagine or think clearly about this kind of change because it is so huge.
People (esp conservatives) spout BS about protecting our way of life, freedom, lifestyle. Yet when a real and concrete threat like climate change comes along, they roll over, bury head in sand and surrender.

OMG and now rabbit guy and yellow dude bring their lies and try to do the dance, like hey there is debate, there is doubt, this has been happening for millions of years...
No. The science is settled. There is no debate and this has not been happening naturally or for decades or millennia

So apologies to all the blog police out there for the slightly off topic post...but seeing how once again we are being asked to respond to alt-right nonsense....
...for years, up until the moment she was about to be voted off her committees, Marjorie Taylor Greene spouted all kinds of nonsense. Then at the moment of truth she tells lawmakers she regrets being 'allowed to believe things that weren't true'
Ha! She regrets...being allowed....really?....Then she caved. She who was sending out campaign contribution requests based on this nonsense for years...She bailed on the bs. Like Fox News. Like Newsmax. They are profiting off your gullibility.
So...any of your magas regret being allowed to believe things that weren't true yet?
Hey...today's Friday...Mike Lindell promised us he would be releasing his 100% proof of election fraud today. Anything yet? I'm really really looking forward to them finally showing some evidence that they failed to produce in court 60 times. I was talking to a co-worker who told me the evidence exists, Trump just wasnt given the chance to present it.

All you had to do was to read to the bottom of YOUR OWN article, where it explains that aerosol's cooling effects are short term, but CO2's warming effects are long term. So explain that one to yourself.

Whining about taxes to invest against global warming is like whining about paying for health insurance or whining about the price of a new lock on your front door. Like no, let's not buy that lock and let everyone in, just so you could save a few bucks. Great idea Sherlock!

How’s that possible?
We’re kicking the ultra conservatives out?

> Less aerosols in the air means less gases that cool off the Earth.
Actually, "aerosols" in this case refers to suspended particulate matter as well that blocks sunlight. Temperature drops after major volcanic eruptions such as the explosion of Mount Tambora threw a significant amount of sold matter into the upper atmosphere that reflected solar radiation back into space and resulted in significant temperature drops for several years afterwards.

Climate "science" is a religion.
Don't bother wasting breath or bandwidth on brainwashed conformed neo pagan nature worshippers.
They claim to be "skeptics" who believe only in science and nothing else yet they are scientific illiterates who believe anything.

Time for a little geo-engineering you knuckleheads...........
We caused it, let's fix it
Way cheaper and hopefully, some of you will die horribly either way

"I heard a scientist on the radio today. He said implementation of the green new deal will reduce global temps by 0.05 degrees. And it will take 50 years to do it!"
While this may be true, it is a misleading fact that seems to call for inaction.
"If all human emissions of heat-trapping gases were to stop today, Earth’s temperature would continue to rise for a few decades as ocean currents bring excess heat stored in the deep ocean back to the surface. Once this excess heat radiated out to space, Earth’s temperature would stabilize. Experts think the additional warming from this “hidden” heat are unlikely to exceed 0.9° Fahrenheit (0.5°Celsius). With no further human influence, natural processes would begin to slowly remove the excess carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, and global temperatures would gradually begin to decline."
Temperatures will fall, but it will take hundreds of years to have a sizable effect. It's worse if we don't do anything though because temperatures are rising 0.25 degrees every 10 years. That's the problem.
I'm not advocating for the Green New Deal. I think it does too much social planning that is not necessary to reduce fossil fuels, but we should do something that people can agree on.
The sad truth is that it's going to probably take 100 years to change our energy infrastructure enough so that we are free of fossil fuels. This is not something we can fix overnight. But that doesn't excuse inaction right now.

Nice speech but nobody is saying do nothing
Some of us are saying , don't do stupid things
That are actually self defeating
Or, make the problem worse
Spending scarce resources that could have otherwise been used more efficiently
Stupid virtue signalling like the Paris Accord that has no enforcement provisions and gives people some false sense of progress
The idiots in the state of CA that want to stop the use of natural gas in homes and convert to electricity have lost their fucking minds. Natural gas replacement of coal is one of the primary reasons the US has made any pprogress on carbon reduction, for fuck sake.
There's plenty of stupid on both sides and we should be working towards common sense solutions, not running around like chicken littles screaming that we're all gonna die in 10 years. You sound like Qanon when you do that shit.

I for sure think the problem should be addressed. Dont get me wrong.
I just have a huge problem with the Govt thinking they are the proper entity to solve this issue. Call me stupid but I think they hang the Climate catastrophe doom and gloom over our heads like a shot gun and want to raise taxes.
What could go wrong?
Just another example to me of an effort that should be privatized with the help of govt funding but we need to take idiot politicians out of the way.
