Then, signed with the Dodgers.? Joel Sherman from the post says there was no written record of an accepted offer. This is supposedly the minimum requirement for an accepted contract agreement. Then, Sherman quotes sandy Alderson saying.. "contracts have been agreed to on less..." i guess a handshake would be an example. Maybe the mets fans keep giving the met organization shit every time they see bauer on TV. LOL... Sucks to be a met fan.

Dodgers better win this year, because the team will be disassembled starting next year:
Seager will expect to "get paid," as well as a lot of the other young talent that is currently making dirt compared to what they will look for on the open market.
There is no way that they can continue to spend above the luxury tax threshold.

I don't think of it as being disassembled, more like transitioning.
Kershaw and Turner are long in the tooth, they probably won't be there too long. Management will get young plays from the farm.
Seager will get paid, he's a stud. They aren't letting him go.
Dodgers are a big market team, they make money so they will field a winning team. This isn't anaheim angels or kansas city royals.
I still find it funny when the angels want to be los Angeles angels of anaheim.. Oh well

The Dodgers have 100mil coming off payroll next year and another 100mil the next year. So
money wont be a problem. This season all of LA will have access to Sports net LA.

Dodger fans ... truly the most optimistic of MLB fans. Never mind the hundreds of millions spent in the past they will try to steinbrenner their way into a new legacy.
They do have a great roster but as we have seen that isn't always a recipe for success ... Im praying it's not ... would love to see the Padres bend em over this year but that would be a feat as the Dodgers have huge bats and great arms. But ya can't dismiss the Padres and I'm betting the division race will be tight come the end of summer.

Yes..!!! Both teams look good. We're so lucky to have all Major sports represented. The Dodgers have all things working in their organization from scouting to building a baseball dynasty. The next ten years can be the Dodgers decade. A 2020 WS Championship, 8 straight division titles, 3 NL Pennants and the future looks brighter... Go blue.!!!

During this 6 game homestand they shut out the Nationals twice.
Kershaw 6 innings no runs 6 K's beats Max Scherzer 3 - 0. Kenley Jansen gets his 2nd save. His fastball hits 95mph 2 K's
The Dodgers sweep the Rockies. Bauer goes 7 shutout innings w/9 K's 1 hit. He picks up his 2nd Win. They hit the road 11 - 2. With a 6 game winning streak.
I know its so early. I usually wait till 30 games in to get a feel for how goood or bad a team looks. What impressed me was how they defended a 1 - 0 game. Pitching and defense.
Oh, and the pods are 3rd in the NL West. I really dont want to be an ass and predict a sweep this weekend. But this 2021 team looks better than the 2020 team. Go blue..!!! And F the pods.

106 win season and it comes down to 1 game against the cards. The Dodgers should out score the cards from just the depth of the lineup. Losing Max is just like this whole season has gone. Just losing May, Bauer, and Kersh is enough to sink a teams season. Props go to the FO and Friedman for never giving up on the season and players like Kenley, pollock, lux, and bellinger. And for the best ever mid-season trade to get max and turner.
A team going for back to back WS championships will face much adversity. Like last year, because they ARE the dodgers there will be a clusterfuck for sure. Go blue..!!!

they need to make this a 2 out of 3...anything can happen in a one-game death match. seems brutal after 162 and all the wasted ammo traded
yanks got smoked...stanton had two bombs that were about 18inches from going over green monster...he did get HR later...those two other shots would have changed the game

Dodgers will need to spend like crazy to keep the team together.
Scherzer, Buehler, Kershaw, and Urias won't be cheap. The ones under contract control? They get expensive later. Will Dodgers win 106 games in 2022? No team can win 100+ games year after year. It was a great year! But couldn't get past Braves. This isn't the 2020 teats m. Adding a few arms and bats couldn't get them past the best of the National League.

If Dustin May and Trevor Baur can return in a positive way, then a lot of problems will be alleviated and Max S leaving will not be as big of a deal.
I say dump Gavin Lux, Cody Bellinger, and Kenley Jensen.

May won't be available til late in the season. Lux they can probably deal. I hate to give him up with so much upside. But if they resign Seagar then Lux can be traded or turned into an outfielder.
Bellingers value is way too low. Not the smartest time to trade cody. He's only 26. He's got 2 more controllable years. I think he's going to be MVP Cody.
I hope they can sign scherzer. I hope the Dodgers can pitch bauer without the offending the fans. Go blue.!!!
