The Chiefs defensive backs play a very physical brand of football, reaching, grabbing, pushing. Some officials let some of that stuff go, but some actually call it holding or pass interference using the strict definitions.
Kansas City was the most penalized team in the league during the regular season, so they got flagged often throughout the season as well. They were flagged 10 times when they played Tampa Bay in November, so the 11 yesterday is not an anomaly.
Guess they didn't learn throughout the year to tone it down a bit.

I think there was a lot of calls that were missed on both sides but you know they weren't going to let Brandy and Gronkowski go out w/out winning.

I blame only the male referees, that blonde ref looked hot...what's her handle?

Yes, but that isn't the reason the Chiefs lost. They need to look at the Offensive Line and do a gut check. That's where they lost the game.
And Defense sucked too..

Yes Mahomes was running for his life half of the time, couldn't get set to make accurate throws.
|
|
The difference in how much time Brady had to analyze the field and then throw, versus how much time Mahomes had to read the field and throw, while running for his life, dodging sackers and Bucc's defensive linemen was a stark comparison.
Yeah, I know the Chiefs had some outstanding offensive linemen out, but still. The game was lost on the line of scrimmage as the Bucc's defensive line trampled any hope of KC being able to execute when they had the ball.

The worst calls were made by the KC Chiefs coaching staff. Those two timeouts at the end of the first half for a long shot chance to march down the field with 25 seconds left....
Hoping the ball isnt catchable when you trip the guy to stop a potential touchdown isnt a good defensive strategy. They held. They interfered. Was the ball catchable matters....but it shouldn't be the only thing that matters. They got outplayed. They committed fouls to compensate. They got caught.

I take that back and admit I was wrong.
The worst call was made by chief's "nepotism hire" 3 days prior to drive while (allegedly) drunk.

I have been a Chiefs fan for 30 years.
Bad calls? Yes. And they hurt... but they werent the difference in the game.
The Chiefs O-line couldnt handle Tampas front 4.
The Chiefs D-line couldnt stop the run or pressure Brady. When its like that... you have the entire playbook you have to defend on almost every play. That is tough to stop.
Part of the Problem was KCs makeshift line... but it seems Andy Reid was just out coached in this one. It seems KC came in with the attitude, we will just do what we have been doing. Nobody can stop us.
Tampa just flat out beat KC. No excuses.

No bad calls! The chiefs got out physicalled !
No grit at all! You can't bring a butter knife to a gun fight. Tb's defense whipped their dicks out and slapped the chiefs all around the field with it.

You didn’t like the pool? It’s like 100 degrees.

First of all I think she is saying she bet at Circus Circus
However there is always more money entering a casino than leaving it.
|
|
They don't build huge casinos and lose money.
|

@Juanita Circa is the new casino. It is 21 and over only. It has the best pool. Watch the game while in the pool

Yes. The officials would not let the Kansas City defense play in the first half and manipulated two scores for Tampa Bay. The result was to demoralize the Chiefs. They eased up in the second half but appeared to manipulate the third quarter Tampa Bay score.
Tampa Bay's defensive backs and linebackers got away with holding the whole game, as did their O-line. Brutally biased officiating. This group of back judges and line judges should be banned from professional football.
This was not Super Bowl 55.... this was the First Official Super Bowl. The officials are becoming more and more a material part of the outcome of games. Case in point the PI non-call that should have put The Saints in the 2018 Super Bowl.

@beerhero
Thanks, I know that folks often returned to Circus Circus as "Circa" for many years.
|

Ok let me try again.
Thank you,
I do know that for years many folks referred to Circus Circus as "Circa"
However for sure their is more money entering a casino than money leaving.

I could have gone without the unify and equity messages and such. It was there but I did not watch very intently. I was happy to see TB win, even though I am a Raiders fan. I had to decide that I dislike KC more.

"It seems KC came in with the attitude, we will just do what we have been doing. Nobody can stop us."
I think that was a big problem. When KC played TB during the season, TB started out playing man and KC whipped them in the first half. Then TB changed to a zone defense in the second half, came back, and nearly won that game.
Instead of adjusting to what TB did during that game, KC just went ahead and played in the Super Bowl like they did in that first game. That was quite dumb and arrogant because TB was able to use the blueprint that helped them to outplay KC in the second half of the regular season game to win the Super Bowl.
