All jokes aside...celebrities have millions of eyes on them. They know that everything they do is scrutinized. If they feel they can act with total impunity, they are dumber than I think they are.
Sure other people have said worse things that what she said. Her comments were definitely born from a place of misunderstanding and probably lack of education on what she was saying. Perhaps she was just being dumb or was just regurgitating something she heard and thought she agreed with on principle. Point is, STFU. Seriously. The rest of us people working in the real world keep things to ourselves because we know that it's just not worth sharing things sometimes and because we have reason that checks ego. This dumbass just felt on top of the world with her success and was probably basking in the light of her fame when she decided to sound off about something she probably doesn't give a shit about 8 days of a week. Keep your head down, go to work, smile at your boss and co workers, get that money and move along. Sound off in small circles or in person with people you know and trust but keep a public persona that doesn't rub people wrong. Manage your mouth. Is that so fucking hard to do?

But if you MUST put it out there, you are basically asking the world to vote on what you say, including your EMPLOYER!
So if you don't want shit to blow back at you, then don't be throwing shit out there so publicly.
Before I retired, I worked for the US government. There was a long list of things in my so-called private life that could potentially get me fired for "bringing discredit or disrepute" upon the US government. (I'm sure some of you are chuckling at the irony as you read that, but that is how it was.)

Throw in the fact that disney doesn't have a problem with the ccp's concentration camps or it's racism against black and it shows what a dog shit company they truly are.

With disney/lucas you can say what ever you want as long as it aligns with the far left narrative, such as a black woman making racist tweets against 'white people' or hidalgo attacking fans who don't like disney/lucas movies or pascal who called djt supporters nazis etc. All those are aligned with the far left and were against the right or even the center left or right, which was fine.

She was wrong to compare MAGA Republicans victimization to that of the Jews at the hands at Nazis. I agree that she shouldn't be "punished" for her mistake, but given a thorough history lesson.
Now MAGA Republicans claim that working-class American whites are victims of Muslims, illegal immigrants from Latin America, communists, corporatists and elitists. The irony is the Nazis felt similarly about the victimization of white, working-class Germans -- that they were the victims of Jews, communists, capitalists (analogous to corporatists), and elitists. So a more accurate comparison would have been comparing MAGA Republicans to Nazis rather than Jews.

Actually, initially, the German people were against going after Jews when the Nazis came to power, so what she said isn't even accurate or true. In 1933, the Nazis painted Jewish storefronts with "Jude" and white stars of David and stood in front of these stores in order to get the German public to boycott German goods, but it didn't work. The populace started turning on the Jews only after reading years of Nazi propaganda in the Nazi press.

The only way companies can use speech as an excuse for termination, is if it's applied evenly across the board and for all employees.
But disney/lucas isn't - see pascal, morressey, moran, hidalgo, the subcontractor johnson, arielle etc. Everyone of those mentioned tweeted out worse and actually attacked people yet there weren't any ramifications for their tweets, a couple were even promoted. The difference? The tweets were aimed at people that were supporters of djt or right of center.
So whatever process disney/lucas is using it's evident that it's applied only to those who don't share their political views. To the ones that do share those views there is no speech standard for termination. THAT is singling people out. THAT is illegal.
BTW there is a speech standard at disney proper - this is lucas NOT disney.
Because of that she may have a cause of action against disney/lucas for unfair termination.
Course it may not matter as disney/lucas is seeing a large backlash to firing her when those mentioned above, and others, are still employed. Because of that it wouldn't surprise me if they're trying to figure out a way of bringing her back without actually admitting they fucked up.
