I wish that were true ... but it isn't. I have friends who work for the VA and they've all told me horror stories of what's going on and it's always the VETS that get screwed.

Atticus...what I meant was...the public...for the most part does not treat them like shit...yes...the VA has many stories about the substandard care provided by the VA...I also have a friend who works for...just retired from the VA...he hasthe same horror stories...but also many success stories...and truthfully says...he is a liberal...that the money and care and access to care has been better over the last four years than it has been over his 40 year career...yes...there is so much lacking in the VA...my comment...for clarification...was meant to show that we don't scream at 22 year old kids coming back from viet nam as "Baby Killers"...but rather as people who served their country...period!!!!!!! With all the rhetoric going around about djt, friends in the VA also say that they made more strides in the last 4 years to get vets the treatment they needed in the shortest amount of time then they've ever seen and less money wasted on dead end projects. All of them hate the D. But give him credit for the VA at least.

Most of us regardless of generation have it pretty damn good in relation to many other places. Even sections of our own population still face discrimination and poverty or near poverty. Also I have kids in the so called pussy generation and their lives are not that easy. Plus an uncertainty due to the electronics revolution that is making a portion of them almost surplus.
Every generation always thinks the next one is lesser than their own. The apathy and laziness of generation X is exactly how they got their name, and it was unwarranted then too (and im sure many of you jumping on this bandwagon would say the same thing.) these new generations are being underestimated. Previous generations have had it easy, had shit handed to them, back when there was still land to buy and credit checks werent a thing. You could get by with your white skin and a smile, talk yourself out of a privileged situation, and think you were some kind of expert in something. Everyone who thinks they are tough shit and everyone younger than them is a delusional pussy. There are things every generations has hard that others cant understand, why else do you think boomers and karens are so butt hurt when they are called out online by kids who have grown up with cyber bullying. The comment about Trump doing good for the vets because 2 guys say its way better in the VA in the last 4 years really isnt Trump doing good because most of government moves slow so if change was happening in the last four years you can bet whatever created the change started before that. I would agree with Gordon. Many that I have dealt with over the years seem ignorant,
weak in math skills, and have poor writing skills.
Fortunate for me, my daughter who is a millennial is highly educated, ambitious,
very talented and makes a good living as a supervisor in the health care industry.
However, based on my conversations with her, some of her friends are struggling
with various emotional and psychological issues.
I see no shortage of punk ass bitches amongst baby boomers, Gen-Xers, OR Millenials. If you're not a member of the greatest generation, and most of them are fucking dead you're a puss.

I would never compare a 69 Charger to a Pontiac Firebird Trans Am...the Charger was and is a classic to this day...a charger that is rusted through and doesn't have a straigh panel on it will still cost $30,000-$40,000...Firebird will cost a used car lot $3,000-$5,000 to have someone take it off of their hands!!!!!!!!!
