she's a fucking idiot
pfizer vaccine only lasts for about 30 days...took about that long in the beginning to get it in the arms from the various states as they were figuring out who was going to get it

The real story lies within. Grab some pop corn cause it is all explained right here. Course the deniers may throw up, oh well.

oh please,,,,the magas who have defended Trump at every turn for a year despite a ridiculously long list of screwups regarding this pandemic...want to go after Harris after three weeks? The vaccines last up to 6 months frozen....so even if you had kept the very first shipment in reserve...it would still have 3 months left. We knew a month after the vaccine release in December that Trump didnt order enough vaccines. The two biggest criticisms of "warp speed" were that...he didnt order enough....and he had no distribution plan. Under Trump's plan it would have taken 10,5 years to vaccinate the country at the pace he kept. When it came to distribution he kept it up in the air making states wonder what the plan was all the way until the last second....then he told the states...you handle it. You know..kind of like he did with the whole pandemic and ppe...let the states handle it. You guys loved it then...now you want to go after Harris for the mess Trump left behind. Then you wonder why people don't engage with you on these boards. You could have taken a few minutes to check the shelf life of the vaccine and see it lasted 6x longer when frozen but instead you chose to be lazy, misrepresent the facts, and go after the politician you hate because of Trump's screw ups.

"There was no stockpile of vaccines..." 🤦♂️💩💩💩
This coming from the party that openly derided the efforts of the coordinated effort to develop multiple vaccines under operation warp speed.

Wasn't it Democrats in Puerto Rico that left food and water shipped to the island by the Trump Administration hidden at the airport under tarps, and in a secret warehouse, while the people suffered to get fresh water and something to eat, in order to gain political advantage?
If you think Puerto Rican Democrats are any different than Mainland Democrats than you've got another think coming. They will hold, hide, conceal, and allow the vaccines to rot in order to continue the nation's suffering so they can take the moral high ground, provide a measly stimulus check, and destroy the entire economic system.

People need to actually RESEARCH and not listen to the lying sacks of shit.
Trump ordered an initial order of 100 million doses of Pfizer and then followed it up with an order for 100 million more. The administration also had an 'option' for 400 million MORE doses of Pfizer.
He also bought 200 million doses of Moderna.
OK, lets do the fucking math. 200 million contracted with Pfizer, 200 million contracted with Moderna and 400 million in an 'option' with Pfizer.
That is 800 million doses.....enough to vaccinate 400 million people, 60 million more than our population.
And we don't have enough vaccine.....
Just keep believing the shit that CNN, MSNBC and most of the Democratic party tells you.

@jazz -
I appreciate you supporting your points with links to legitimate information. I look to others who provide data and solid evidence so that I may understand different points of view (especially those that I do not agree with).
It is indeed true that the Trump administration ordered 100 million doses from Pfizer, in late December 2020. By then Pfizer had already sold more doses to other countries because, when given the opportunity, they declined.
As for Moderna, the administration rightfully ordered 100 Million doses in June 2021 and again another set in early December 2021.
So far, that is 300 million doses ordered with the option (from pfizer) of another 400 million (that neither administration has yet secured to my knowledge).
As it takes time to manufacture and ship out that many doses, the earlier the order, the faster the product is received.
So, the question becomes, how did the Trump administration plan and execute the distribution of the vaccine when the first doses were ready.
According to the administration's plan (link below) in September 2016, they left it to the states for the most part, but in reality, the reports were that there was no communication or real guidelines for distribution. In an effort like this, it takes leadership to help coordinate the state responses based on their unique needs.
Alex Azar appears to agree, On January 14, 2021, he revised the guidelines to be more direct and offer channels to communicate (https://www.hhs.gov/about/news/2020/09/16/trump-administration-releases-covid-19-vaccine-distribution-strategy.html).
Reading the Biden administrations plan for coordinating the distribution, Azar's plan seems to match pretty well although there are some organizational changes.
Bottom line, something like the Vaccine and it's distribution should NOT be politicized. Get the right people together and get a plan together. All this bullshit of which administration did or didn't do should result in learning from and adapting to this very unique situation.
Mass distribution of vaccines has been done in the US, it was not politicized then. People got together and got it done.
The OP is deriding VP Harris for lying, but she alone is not the administration or it's response. If she's wrong....SHES WRONG. Unlike others, perhaps if proven wrong, she and others in this administration will admit it and correct the mistake. Instead of playing partisan politics, we should be working together and not double down on obvious mistakes or mishandling or political vendettas.

Sorry - here are the links

FUCK - sorry one more correction - should have been September 2021 (not 2016) when the initial plan was released.

What really pisses me off about Harris is that the lack of gratitude to Biden. Nothing about what a great President he has been so far and how he will single handedly conquer COVID. She needs to call Mike Pence (is he still in hiding?) and sign up for the 4-week course in being a total sycophant, pronto.
Here are some ideas, not without risks, for getting a lot more shots into people quickly. Now the Trumpsters wlll proclaim that these are not supported by science and how dare we interfere with clinical trial protocols:
- Increase the time period for the second dose to 12 weeks so there are more doses available for newcomers.
-Use half doses (supported by clinical trial data)
-Make the J&J vaccine (hopefully, approved shortly) available to anyone who wants to be vaccinated.

Remember when a politician's lips are moving they are most likely Lying...look at Harris she called Biden a racist and rapist...now she's his VP

I like how you post Trump making orders in December for additional vaccine as proof of him doing it right.
Do you know how stupid that is to say...hey...look....Trump fucked up in August.....but then tried to fix it in December....dont listen to anyone else...he did it right....kind of....the second time.... Now when the world is fighting for 15 billion doses of vaccine....Trump making his late order will get it asap.
Will you guys ever stop licking Trump's ball sack?

HDS hore discovery sickness ?

giver...if you read the articles, the Administration ordered an ADDITIONAL 100 million doses from Pfizer. They had a previous order of 100 million, for a total of 200 million. The 200 million from Moderna brought the total to 400 million doses, enough to vaccinate 200 million Americans, nearly 60% of the population. The option is still there for the other 400 million from Pfizer, but I believe the thought was that once the Johnson and Johnson became available, there would be more of those purchased, since that is a single dose and does not require the super freeze of Pfizer.
We do have to remember, neither vaccine was authorized until December.....
So I go back to my basic point. How can anyone say that we won't have enough vaccine.....the government has ordered or options to order for 800 million doses. Show me where that is incorrect.
Distribution TO the states hasn't been the problem. The problem is that within the states, there is bickering and political bullshit determining WHO gets the vaccine. Our own fucked up California has been on or near the bottom of the distribution list as not getting it's supply out into arms. We have improved greatly, but still only have 75% of the doses administered into arms. Texas has 83%, Colorado, 82%, North Dakota is at 94%, West Virginia at 92%, Louisiana 88%, Even New York has done better at 78%.
|
|
And don't forget, Pfizer was funded by the Trump administration and if big Joe had been president, we still wouldn't have had a vaccine. Warp Speed was successful, but Dems keep pushing that aside as nothing got accomplished.
|
|
Of course, if Trump had committed to buy a trillion doses of Pfizer in August, AND it was never approved for use.....he would be accused of spending billions and wasting money.
|
|
@Jazz
Fair enough, you disagree that the Trump Administration plan was not appropriate in August, and that the new plan by Azar in January updated it to a better standard. I don't see the logic, but, ok.
As for Pfizer, they reported in mid January that they had manufactured more than 70 million doses, According to your CDC link (thanks by the way, very interesting), they have delivered about 28 million as of today.
So.....where is the other 42 million doses? That's right, to Europe.
In Mid January, Pfizer angered EU by cutting them off and now are delivering at a higher rate to the US. I don't know what the mechanism was that caused that, but they would have still needed to fulfill the original 100 million dose order (which they havent yet) THEN deliver on the orders that the EU countries made before the next 100 Million.
Obviously, there is some politics that goes along with all of this. But as I stated before, this should not be politicized. Warp speed did indeed have it's merits. But it has not yet fulfilled it's promise.
Feel free to disagree with me, again, I look forward to your data.

"Warp speed did indeed have it's merits. But it has not yet fulfilled it's promise."
Ok sooooo the fact that not one but multiple vaccines have been created in roughly 10 months when Dr. Fauci was saying years before we had one... that is just an anecdote?
Let's be honest about things.....please that one thing is fricken amazing. How much credit goes to Trump for that... who the fuck cares... he wasn't down in the lab making it happen but he got advised and acted ... probably in the same fashion anyone else would have.
As far as delivering it... fuck man.... you got to be a little humbled at the task of delivering hundreds of millions of doses at temperatures the average person can't understand through a distribution system that could not have been really hashed out until it would be put through its paces in real time.
Whomever is responsible we are doing just ok.... but it certainly is nowhere near a worse case scenario and amany people who are not named Trump or Biden are responsible for the good ... and the bad.

West Virginia delivered 102% of supply of vaccinations provided to them.
Lol @ at those dumb ass no account confederate flag flying, sister fucking , white trash, didn't finish high school honkies kicking California's ass!

"...and if big Joe had been president, we still wouldn't have had a vaccine....."
That's very unlikely. What Trump DID do (after getting advice from some business people) is push for production of this new-type of mRNA vaccine from Pfizer and Moderna. His health advisors, I believe, were more interested in traditional vaccines. It was a gamble because mRNA vaccines have never been used in the past and traditional vaccines (that use a weakened (or attenuated) form of the germ that causes the disease) have had much success in the past. So, worst case, with Biden, we produce traditional vaccines like the Chinese did. The Chinese were able to come out with at least one of these this year.
The mRNA vaccines have shown phenomenal efficacy though, better than most other vaccines. And they are easy to remake with new mRNA segments if we need booster shots to combat in the future new virus variants.
It is a gamble that has seemed to have paid off, and it probably was the best thing Trump did in office.

Correction: Chinese came out with an attenuated virus vaccine last year.

Why would anyone else but the old and sickly take a vaccine they don't need?
|
|
I still think Trump is a piece of shit though for his pre-fascist nature: Creating a cult of personality and false victimhood mixed with nationalism, nativism, and xenophobia, quieting any dissension in his party, and undermining democracy by refusing to allow a peaceful transfer of power by inciting a mob to attack part of the government.
Incitement = agitating his followers over months with conspiratorial lies and a sense of imminent doom, while relying on them to make a final decision to act.

Yes we vaccinate with out knowing if you are currently covid positive
If u go to the Dr. With the regular flu- they cant give u a flu shot and u can't get a flu shot with symptone
Well plenty of people are covid positive without showing traditional symptoms (i had covid in oct and have antibodies) (was on a hx break for nearly 2 months during/after)
But i think we aren't administering correctly.
& can ppl with covid get the vaccine?
|
|
"Why would anyone else but the old and sickly take a vaccine they don't need?"
If you haven't had the virus, the vaccine will protect you from getting the virus, which could potentially be serious for anyone or cause symptoms of long covid. If you already had the virus, one dose of the vaccine has been shown to increase protection greatly from the variants that show the ability to escape immunity in people who got sick from the original variant.
|
|
"Yes we vaccinate with out knowing if you are currently covid positive"
If you're symptomatic, don't get the vaccine. If you are asymptomatic, it's not going to matter because you will be getting immunity either way.
|
|
Attached is some evidence why you should consider a single dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, even if you have had COVID-19.
|
|
LOL covid queen!
|
|
'If you haven't had the virus, the vaccine will protect you from getting the virus,"
There is no proof the vaccine will stop you from getting the virus...

Just sayin..
