As I have said before the data from the CDC and CA Health Dept.
indicates that it's the old that the old are dying for covid-19 in spite of the lockdowns,
not the young. The younger you are the more likely you will not die of the virus.
Yet apparently our local politicians have done very little to protect the old
but have done plenty to destroy the lives of the able bodied working people.
The data also indicates that about 1 out of every 1000 people will die of covid-19,
which means that there will be 999 people who survive. However the
main stream media will have you believe that, that 1 person deserves to live
and that the government should make every effort to save that 1 person at all costs,
because human life is priceless. In the case of covid-19, that person is over 54.
In the real world, that position is usually not taken because most of us have limited
resources.
I heard 2 epidemiologists on Fox News say that we will be at herd immunity
by April. They said it is historically known that all viruses runs it course
and that eventually herd immunity takes place in the population.
In other words, most people will survive any pandemic.

The current death rate in America for Covid is 1.77 dead per 100 people infected
If you mean the current death rate is 1 in 1,000 Americans...we have only had less than 10% of our population infected confirmed. You want to infect the other 90% and see where the chips fall?
We have had about 8.5% known infection rate. The guess is unknown infections is 2x-3x greater. So lets say we had 25% infected already. If everyone catches it once...we will have 1.5 million more dead Americans based on current numbers. That is assuming a deadlier mutation doesnt develop...although they believe the UK strain and the South African strain to be deadlier. Is that acceptable to you? I'm sure a lot of young people are cool with it. But what about the people over age 65? Over 50? With pre-existing conditions?
Old people are Americans too. No need to throw them under the bus. But whether or not you care about them...the real issue is not to let this thing spread unchecked so it has more opportunity to mutate.

That's over 200 million now.
Combine that with the vaccine rollout and there's a chance that we reach herd immunity by end of April.

None of those 90,000 died of COVID. They died of heart disease, cancer, strokes, the flu, motorcycle accidents, and other ailments. Gone are the days of saying a motorcyclist died of COVID because he got crushed in an accident with a car.
