There certainly seems to be an attempt to destroy the U.S. from within,
however there still seems to be plenty of Americans willing to fight back.
In regards to China, I believe historically they have never won a war,
but the U.S. is always fighting wars and I doubt we will go down without
doing a lot of damage to China in the process.
In the long run, Chinese policies will fail since I believe most people
want to be free and will fight to keep their freedom.
Besides it takes a lot of effort and resources to a dictator.

I've visited China maybe 30 times over 30 years and been all over the country. It's tough not to be really impressed by what they've achieved. Their infrastructure puts ours to shame and now they are forging ahead aggressively in the 8 key technologies they see critical to leading in the future. Of course they are far from perfect but I can't believe that this isn't already their century.

Two different issues:
1) How China runs itself internally: They should be able to run their country how they want. Is standard of living nice in China and is it enjoyable to visit? Absolutely. Visiting Shanghai puts most U.S. cities to shame. China has moved more people out of poverty than any country in the history of human civilization. Unprecedented achievement.
2) How China acts internationally: Geopolitically, China is the U.S.'s greatest rival and chooses to not give a f*ck about international conventions: Blatant intellectual property theft, ignoring territorial water rights, Unilateral decisions by bullying neighboring countries in South China Sea, horrible human rights violations happening currently. U.S. has had a checkered past, but it simply doesn't compare to China in the 21st century. CCP has viewed the U.S. as a rival for at least the past 20 years. We just choose to ignore it. Chinese professors, military leaders, and CCP members don't hide this fact.

Their economy and infratructure is a product of the last 50 years ... Of course it all seems nice and new. You are also dismissibg how they finance it and what lenths they go to to to develop ANYTHING.
We cant force who cities and regions to just move because we are gonna build a dam. We dont progress our medical tech by forcing operatiions on those that do not need them. Yeah be marvelled by what they have achieved but also be disgusted at the lengths they go to achieve it.

They can dismantle and build a new bridge in 47 hours. It reminds me of the way we used to be. During WW2, we could build an entire ship in just a few days. Now, it takes us 15 years to complete the big dig.

This is all about who are the people on top and who is administering the gov't and setting up the regulations.
Its not like we don't have great and smart people but none of them want to be in gov't because of how bureaucratic it became. Everything is about 10 meetings and then lets see who benefits. How about just freaking do the job and not look at the monetary return. Public works isn't about monetary return. China gets it. That's why their railroad, highway, and now its airline industries are propping up. In United States, all 3 industries are competing for the same resources. In China, each of them get what they want even if they are not going to make back their investments in the next 20 years.
Its about how infrastructure benefits ALL of their people as a whole instead of looking at which industry or districts gets the beef.
And we always make fun of China being corrupted. Sure of course, they will steal 5-10% off the top of every project they encounter but they will get it done and get id done right within the deadline.
Our politicians will steal the pie and then say shit won't work and need additional funding and time. All done within a legalized and democratic process no less. Its called legalized theft by the few in power. And we have no one else but ourselves to blame because the majority voted for those fuckers.
In China, if shit goes down, the few on top will immediately hunt down those that stood out and make an example out of them to appease the public. Its a top down gov't but if you're an ordinary citizen, it works for them. If you're the extraordinary few that have specific ideology, then China isn't for you.
China is lucky to have excellent managers for its nation at almost every sector. Put Americans to run those sectors, China immediately falls apart. Because Americans have no loyalty to anything. At least them Chinese care about face and culture. The only culture America has is profit. All these freedom, democracy are shits and lies. If we care so much about democracy, all these states like Georgia won't limit voting rights but expand it. If we care so much about freedom, those DACA and illegal aliens can waltz in like them Irish and Italians back then with impunity.

Wow, it's always amazing to watch how much is said by so many who know so little about a topic.
I confess to being no expert but China has some very difficult problems facing them before they take over the world, like their population implosion for one. Maybe that nasty 250% debt to GDP? A real estate problem that makes ours 13 years ago look like a blip on the radar screen.
The CCP knows they're gonna be fucked unless they get these things fixed. China has an aging population supporting a very high debt ratio with huge loans against non-productive assets. This is why command/control economies eventually fall to shit. They don't have the billions of price feedback transactions that free economies have, it's why the Soviet economy failed after 70 years.
Not saying China won't find a way, but growth in an economy is dependent on only 2 factors, productivity and population growth. Over the next 50 -100 years, China's population will shrink by 20% - 30% and there just ain't enough productivity gains to overcome that. India will overtake them and even the USA will have population growth from.......wait for it..........wait some more..................... legal and illegal immigration.
Yep, that's right....birth rates aren't keeping up, so the thing that saves us is immigration, lol.
