Some truth to both sides but neither reflect the reality for the vast majority of people on either side. Both countries have strength, weaknesses and challenges. There is a lot more incentive to unite than divide us but the current short sighted zero sum game mentality will almost inevitably lead to loose loose for both.

A fews years ago A builder went to the Gov. And Mayor of LA and said I can rebuild your freeways just get put of the way .... It was thought to be an impossible task to restore LAs freeway system within a year but when Riordan did it no one complained about the regulations that were not enforced. They justgot back on the freeway and commenced the bitching .... Kinda like now.

Of course the point is missed.... again.
Anything that is done there can be done here and most developed nations. They use force where we don't necessarily need to go to such extremes. I don't know about you but I really don't want to frequently travel a bridge that was deconstructed and reconstructed that quickly but go knock yourself out. Something tells me no one did an ecological survey or forced the construction company to keep the ground wet so the construction dust didn't bother the neighbors.
Our ability to compete with China is solely on us ... if we play as nice with them as they play with us and level the field as was done recently for a few years things can happen here. But we are losing that chance and are going to made to pay the price for even thinking that it was possible.
I may be bitching but at least I'm not on all fours telling em how good it feels. And KM fecking A If I exhibit a little faith and pride and you roll over all gaga marveling at how a true Dictatorship runs itself. A lot of people, Educated and Woke for the era they lived in; felt the same way about a failed artist and disgruntled former soldier.

3. Made in China
4. China becomes wealthy
5. Blame China, China becomes wealthy. Go back to #1
Try inserting "Well then lets move our infrastructure to *insert country name here*
Answers will be
1. Labor costs in country is too expensive
2. Moving your entire infrastructure is too expensive
3. Country doesn't have the infrastructure and resources to support business x
Solve those and your China issues will... not be over because you need to roll time back about 50 years

Chin is eating our lunch because they study math and science. Americans study art history and something called communication. The only reason our lunch hasnt already been digested is that the best and brightest Indians, Arabs, Asians and yes Hispanics come here for school and never leave. When was the last time you saw a young American doctor or pharmacist? Cons are intellectually incApable of competing in SEMP. Liberals are too lazy or want to study fish or dinos.

Damn....I hardly ever agree with Detroit.
But we now are now doing everything possible to water down our math and sciences and the kumbaya crowd is encouraging those really great degrees, like gender studies, philosophy, art history, etc.
And even more stupid people are trying to equate math to racism, because somehow black people cannot figure out 2+2=4. There could be another answer due to the racial bias. "White supremacy culture shows up in math classrooms when ... students are required to 'show their work.'" Really????
How about just learning math and science and stop with this woke shit.

What part of the state do you guys live in? The critical four subjects are English, Math, Science and History. Math being includes Algebra at an earlier age. He'll there's even more PE.
The things I *have* seen disapear are Driver's Ed (Saddleback at least) and trade school stuff like autoshop, metal shop and wood shop. Replaced with cad/3d design.
If nothing else the arts still take a serious hit and are dependent on PTA funding.
30 years ago the same excuses were being used...only then it the Japanese.

@NPem. All that is true but China doesnt have the burden of regulations we lay on ourselves and never will. Soooo either deregulate or play the same game with them as they play with us and tarriff them. It seemed to work for our test run over the last 4 years.

There's good teachers involved turning students on to technology and building shit that's fun.
I cant wait to see how they demolish that education niche and make it all about diversity and the inclusion of others that dont care.
