Well look on the bright side, at least the illegal immigrants
who are being let in have to test negative for COVID...
They are getting tested for COVID, right?

^You know, I was beginning to model the effect the addition of illegal immigrants with and without COVID (don't forget they are susceptible) would have on number of deaths in our country or in Texas. Based on the numbers that arrived in January and February, and assuming that immigrants mix well either in the entire US or Texas, I don't believe the numbers that have come in would be high enough to make a significant change to the US or Texas death rate. That's just a guess, so I was going to test that in a model. If the immigrants tend to stay localized, they would only affect others if their transmission rate was higher than what's in the community at large and if they frequently come into contact with others.

But they are being loaded onto busses and transported elsewhere. see the map showing many of the anticipated sites for sending the immigrants.
Further, when Biden did away with the Remain in Mexico, there are thousands of asylum seekers from past years who will re enter the U.S. along the CA border, as many were sent to Baja California.
So the transmission rate of those crossing will most likely be greater than many of the locations you see on the map.

Prior the Biden we had an administration who almost completed the wall, allowed asylum seekers to remain in Mexico until the asylum claims are adjudicated. This keeps the border secure from nefarious forces but also fostered legal immigration to happen.
What we have now is not only a mess hearding towards catastrophe but it "undoes" a working policy. Absolutely mind boggling.

Trump did not encourage legal immigration. In fact, many asylum stations on the border were closed under his administration, forcing asylum seekers to go hundreds of miles further or risk illegal crossings.
Immigration is both parties' favorite thing to argue about, but they never come up with a reasonable compromise.
The Republicans use it to whip up the base, and they don't really want to stop illegal immigration because so many business owners hire illegals on the cheap. Plus, they know that the browning of America erodes their voting base.
Some Democrats don't want a reasonable solution, because the unions don't want a flood of cheap labor into the US (like they are not here already?). But they would like the votes.

The fact that the USA, the richest country in the history of human kind still does not have any kind of base line healthcare for its citizens.
Only developed country on earth that lets you go broke if you get sick.
All those people that lost their healthcare (during a pandemic) when they lost their job because of Rona.

They can get an education and get a job that provides benefits.
But many workers are opting NOT to take the health care since they don't want to even pay 25% of the premium. We are a country of freedom...some workers are choosing NOT to buy health care insurance. Millions of people opted to pay the fine rather than purchase Obamacare during the Obama era. They were opting to have more money in their own pockets.
But when something significant happens, then they realize they made a bad choice, took a bad gamble and now want someone to bail them out.
46% of Americans do not own life insurance policies, so they are banking on living and not necessarily providing for their loved ones into the future.
These are the choices people make and they must take the consequences of them.

I find it ironic that people can't see the 'big picture'.
If there are fewer workers coming into this country, the companies would be in competition for labor. That would mean they would have to give increased wages and benefits, which would help many of those who feel they cannot afford health care.
But by bringing in more workers at the bottom of the wage level, that helps depress benefits and raises. Why would I pay more wage or benefits if there is someone in line for a job......
We are actually starting to see wage growth right before the pandemic.....for this very reason, less flooding of the U.S. by illegal immigrants.

Unemployment is up.
We have hundreds of thousands of destitute, jobless people living on the streets. Nobody has a plan to do anything about it.
Yet this administration encourages millions of destitute from other countries to come here.
Whatever happened to taking care of our own?

People get a few bucks in their pockets and all of us get to bend over and get fucked paying the interest on trillions of give aways.....The debt service on the past Covid-19 stimulus packages will be over $900 annually for every taxpayer in the U.S. That is just the Treasury Note interest....and does NOTHING with the principal.
We don't get to just print money.....we sell Treasury notes for that money and pay the interest over time....
And this dumb fuck wants another $3 trilliion.
Hell, I won't live long enough to really get fucked....but those of you who are younger better get ready for a lifelong payment of overboard spending...

The IRS is sending stimulus checks to up to 30 million taxpayers.
Take our your calculator and 30 million times $1400 is 42 billion......you do know that a trillion is 1,000 billion, so 1.9 trillion is 1,900 billion. So the people get 42 billion and there is another 1,858 billion to spend on other shit.....so the people get stimulus checks that amount to 2% of that 1.9 trillion....
Am I making sense.....People who are getting stimulus checks are getting fucked, because they will pay taxes for the rest of their lives paying the interest on that $1400....
But Joe and the Dems have you believing they are doing you a favor....

What glaring problems do we have....??
Only country in the developed world that does not have guaranteed:
Paid sick leave.
Maternity leave.
Vacation days.
Health care.
None of these things are guaranteed here. It entirely depends on the company you work for.
We pay more in taxes and fees than other "socialized" countries and receive less services.
Socialism is bad unless we are socializing the Walton family's fortunes by subsidizing their employees health benefits.
God forbid you get sick with no health care because you lost your job due to the pandemic.
