So shooter is identified as Ahmad Al-Issa, 21 years old. I would bet NOT a Republican, did not get gun legally, and likely has history of mental issues. We need to get this mental health thing under control - lock them up. ACLU will have a cow but makes more sense than taking away 2A from everyone.

Fixing mental health is almost up there with curing cancer. Right off the bat you'll need to socialize mental health care, work on removing social stigmas about mental, greatly increase the number of mental health care workers--right now the pandemic has the field overloaded (or it seems that way). A huge influx of money towards researching mental health, cures and medicines would be needed.
Then again how do you provide treatment to those who don't think they have a problem? Paranoia is a symptom of some more severe mental health issues.
Just look at most of drama filled blogs on HX as an example.
