9ne statement is true... They have inherited a disaster that has been passes from Congres to congress for over 50 years. There is nothing the Executive branch legally can do except the patchwork of policy and easing of or tightening enforcement.
Meanwhile we blame executive branch for the problems\issues when the blame actually lies at the feet of congress. But ya know ya got to run on something and every 2 - 6 years this is a real good something.

things were set up to disincentive migrants from making the trek...by waiting in mexico...it was working and mexico was good with it...means less trekking thru their country trying to get across the U.S.border
things were working well at the border in the last year...took awhile to get it that way...talking to the leaders of all countries involved...even a little threat of tariff action, BUT they they did it with fucking bells on...mexico had thousands of troops at each border
biden brought back catch and release instead of having them wait in mexico...NOW they don't even bother to set any court dates...just come back on the honor system?? when might that be? 2 yrs? 5 yrs?

I'm a little pissed with the COVID response to it all...I feel it's very similar to the protests that sprung up right after WE had the lock downs. in the meantime, cities are still having issues, schools haven't been able to start up...YET, no issues bringing in sick people over the border...putting them on buses to other parts of the country...at some point they were suggesting to them quarantines, not demanding it...like people coming in on flights or from canada.
to me, it makes their talk/concern of COVID, bullshit when they pull that crap.

The next clarification will be that the tax will only apply if you make over $400,000 in 4 years.....LOL

One of the truly cruel things Trump did was send these kids back to Mexico to await their fate. Who knows what happened to them after that. Many of these detainees have family in the US so that could be a start
