The families being released are either given a notice to appear containing a court date to begin their immigration proceedings, or given nothing and released “on their own recognizance,” the official said.

But all of you righties are obsessed with illegal immigrants.
|
|
Why does everything have to be right or left, red or blue?
Some topics transcend such bullshit.
|
|
Well, because they are. It's a fact. Righties are obsessed with illegal immigrants.
|
|
But, of course, a rightie would be too myopic to see that only he/she is obsessed with this.
|
|
Same with the 2nd amendment.
Same with government takeovers.
|
|
Lefties also have their obsessions. But there aren't many lefties here to point that out to, or at least they are smart enough not to blog.
|
|
Equity, racism, "wokeness" come to mind as obsessions by the left.
Just as sickening.

I don't like vaccine passports. They are divisive. If you don't have antibodies for COVID, you should get a vaccine. Period. But it's your choice. If you aren't comfortable being around non-vaccinated people, wear a mask. But again, it's your choice.
Having said that, if private companies want to use vaccine passports, I really don't think the government has a role to stop them.

So illegal aliens are good for the country. Open borders are a positive?

I'm a simple man, I like simple pleasures, like butter in my ass, lollipops in my mouth. That's just me. That's just something that I enjoy.
Like boobies and doobies.

There's a difference between wanting to do something about illegal immigration and seeing illegal immigrants as the boogeymen (e.g. bringing up illegal immigration with an unrelated topic such as vaccine passports).
We had a good bill brought up during the Bush administration. Things were less divided back then. Even Dems supported a wall. But nothing has gotten done, in part because of extremists that divide us.

That was for Butthead.
Yeah, I'm tired of talking politics, and maybe that's showing. Blogging about politics to try to influence people is analogous to hitting your head against the wall a shitload of times, and I'm tired of it.
Maybe I need a break from blogging. For a long time.
Rather talk about science and boobies.
|

sounds like you blogging about covid...
|

Actually my point is why do I a usa citizen need a vaccine passport while illegal aliens are allowed to roam the country at will.
Instead of a passport perhaps a numbered tattoo on one's person. Better yet a microchip since it works on other animals?
I believe the administration should get rid of the Bill of Rights. It is very outdated to them.
By the way night rider you are a labelist.
Your science with California lock downs is not the best for your state. Yes my opinion

If NR would apply his skills to making a cure for autism spectrum disorder
He could help people and help himself
Win win
Plus maybe slow down his post count
Win win win

Vaccine passports are not just divisive .... what they are for and how they will be used is unconstitutional.
If you continually test to have Covid antibodies why would you need to have a vaccine. Therefore why would you need a passport... but if this passport comes to fruition you would have to get it to travel... forget life liberty and pursuit of happiness the government changed its mind.
|
|
If we are considering the merits of vaccine passports, do immigrants matter? You can vaccinate them all but don't give them vaccine passports. You don't vaccine them and they won't have passports.
The GOP is high profile against vaccine passports. The obvious reason is that many GOP won't take the vaccine. Now, there's so much contradiction since the GOP says it's Trump's vaccine! If everybody wants Trump's vaccine, why against a passport for it?
I think QAnon is useful for once. If you are fit and healthy you can still pass on the virus to your friends, that are mostly GOP. I think the death rate is going to be correlated with political affiliation.

You are getting ALL the Government you wished for Not funny.

The first rendition of having to show proof of vaccination in order to travel (you could call it a vaccination passport) has been tried by a number of countries in Europe. It was an unmitigated disaster with the certificates being easily faked. I assume they will improve their system at some point.
The European fiasco reminds me of when California spent all of the time coming up will a Diver's License that was not supposed to be able to be counterfeited and Ed Bradley from 60 Minutes bought a complete set of Great ID including the new Drivers License on Olivera Strret for $50 the same day the State Of California started passing out the new licenses.

Night Rider,
Nobody including Donald Trump ever thought a wall was anything more than a small part of controlling illegal immigration and in many cases high tech might be better than an actual wall. The truth is that the politicians of both parties don't really want to stop illegal immigration. If you want to address the problem you start by making laws that make it very unactractive to come into the country illegally whether by slipping over the border or overstaying your visa from Europe.
This country needs immigration. It just needs to do a much better job of controlling it.

The people who won't get shots are the pussies who show up at the hospital complaining of a headache and difficulty breathing.
|
|
It's very different if you can't do it, you don't allow it, or you don't want to do it.
At least in my zip code, the honor system of getting in line for the vaccines work normally. They don't question you, they don't turn you away, and the queue is moving fine.
For those who took the vaccine, won't they want to be in the company of like-minded people? Knowing that many won't take the "Trump vaccine".
Passports are required for every country (or other docs). It's also electronic. It can also be fake. But everybody carries it when they travel. Should we do without it?
Banks are doing pretty well with credit cards.
Most people trust the biometrics on their phone for banks and credit cards.
It's like if you are worrying that the govt is taking away your guns, you want everybody who wants a gun can buy a gun and carry it.
It's strange if you intend to take the vaccines and don't want anybody to have anything to show for it.
|
|
This man was not a pussy. Ya think he regrets his decision now ?
.
|
|
So none of you want the vaccine?.....Good.
|
|
AF, pussy or not, I understand that you won't take the vaccine and don't want to be excluded from the vaccinated club.
But for me, the fact is that the vaccine is 90% effective in preventing infection and transmission. If I have no right to know who I'm traveling with next to me, I tend to support stricter and longer lockdown.
|
|
"the fact is that the vaccine is 90% effective in preventing infection and transmission."
90% effective against transmission? Where is that fact?
|
|
"What we are still learning
Although COVID-19 vaccines are effective at keeping you from getting sick, scientists are still learning how well vaccines prevent you from spreading the virus that causes COVID-19 to others, even if you do not have symptoms. Early data show the vaccines do help keep people with no symptoms from spreading COVID-19, but we are learning more as more people get vaccinated."
|
|
"Under real-world conditions, mRNA vaccine effectiveness of full immunization (≥14 days after second dose) was 90% against SARS-CoV-2 infections." ------ CDC
If you are not infected, you have nothing to transmit.
|
|
Actually one can carry the disease for a period of time. The scientists haven't figured out how long an individual can carry it. Same as asymptomatic. The thought or guess is transmission is reduced, but no tests have been completed.
How long can a asymptomatic person carry the disease?

What will some of you do if you get bit by an animal that had rabies? That's a cut and dry one for even most anti-vaxxers. ☺
Tetanus? There's another one that's not lethal but no fun.
|

@NP i didnt see much in this thread that sounded anti-vaxx.

Sorry it was the beer I'll stick to other inane comments in other blogs.

The study is part of a growing body of evidence suggesting that the vaccines not only reduce the risk of getting seriously ill with COVID-19, but can prevent catching the virus in the first place.
“If you can’t get infected, you can’t infect anyone else, which means the vaccines can reduce transmission as well as the disease,” says Marm Kilpatrick, an infectious diseases researcher at the University of California, Santa Cruz, who was not involved in the study.
|

Her opinion is one of many varying opinions from those in the know.
It does sound nice, but it isn't a fact just because of her opinion
The university of Boulder Colorado is doing a five month study on the transmission question.
500-700 students will be tested.
I don't see anyone running such a test if the jury was already in?

wundun, whereas there is no relation between vaccine passport and immigration, if one is against vaccine passports, what says the person?
From what I see, a person isn't going to get the vaccine. So the person is against a vaccine passport that discriminates him and rat his status. Isn't that anti-vax?
I haven't seen anybody who is going to take the vaccine is against a passport, except governors who expect a lot of their supporters aren't going to take the Trump vaccine.

Bt the way. I hope the Banana Slug lady is 100% correct. If she is from UC Santa Cruz.
Any way my lack of trust stems from predictions just like Niel Ferguson of the UK.
Who may we trust and believe?

So this card that says when i got my 1st shot of moderna and when to get my 2nd shot can be used to verify that I'm not a dumb shit.? Can it get me on an airplane.? It'll get me laid.? Of course.
|

"Can be used to verify that I'm not a dumb shit.? No you'll still be a dumb shit.
Can it get me on an airplane.? Nope
It'll get me laid.? That and some dead presidents
Of course. Naw

Whatever you say... butt head. LOL

Sorry, but you did kinda lead with your face on that one.

“Because vaccinations do dramatically reduce transmission, eventually the CDC will issue new (masking) recommendations for vaccinated individuals,” said Dr. Peter Hotez, dean of the National School of Tropical Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
It's not just me. It's the interpretation reported all over the media. I think somebody is in a "hold your ground" state.

I'm just a stupid lib. I do what they fucking tell me to do. Yet i still exist. I do feel special.

One study has been done but i'm too fucking lazy to attach it and you dumb fucks wouldn't believe it anyway........But it's early days and hasn't been peer reviewed as yet.
Antibodies generated from vaccination appear to reduce transmissability by something around 84 - 92% or thereabouts. My bet is that vaccination will virtually eliminate transmission.
They been working on mRNA for 15 years and the first vaccine was the one for ebola back in 2014/15 and eventually approved in the US in 2019. So, don't tell me this shit is new or untested or whatever the fuck. The Ebola vaccine was just out there, BAM. What kinda fucking study you gonna do with a virus that's 80% or higher lethal and you bleed out of every orifice in your body, lol. Fuck that, just jab and hope for the best.......And it worked.
So, just take the jab and let Bill Gates tap your brain, not that there's anything there of note.

New York just came out with a vaccine passport, lol

Cuomo is always at the forefront of innovation

Dept of Health and Human Services is working on a national passport but all worried about "equity" and shit.
