MLB gives Georgia the finger.
LOL Gloom guy, you might want to actually READ Colorado's voting laws...
So MLB move it from Atalanta (51% African American ) to Denver ( 9% African American) even though Georgia now has more early voting days than Colorado does.
Denver has to clean up its boarded up downtown from its "Summer of Love" last year... đ¤Śââď¸
The Left has gone in for NUCLEAR STUPIDITY on this one. Dont piss off a Progressive...
Atlanta and Stacy Abrams losing out on ~$100M as a result. They are not moving the Masters but I bet theres some Elite Wokists trying to.
From the linked article...
"Critics are scratching their heads over Major League Baseballâs decision to yank its All-Star Game from Georgia and move it to Colorado â where voting laws are actually more restrictive than those in the Peach State which prompted the boycott."
Pretty sure"The Masters" can't be moved as a Tournament it is the sole property of Augusta National. So any idiot talking about moving it is welllllllllllll ... an idiot.
The Woke mob are so stupid. They don't actually read and do their own research. Major League Baseball moved from a state they thought was somehow 'restricting' voting to one with even more stringent restrictions.
Don't listen to the rest of the mob....read for yourself and use your fucking brain.
And I wonder if the head of Major League Baseball is going to give up his Augusta National club membership.....oh, he isn't THAT woke....
Hypocritical bastard.....
Delta thinks I should not have to show ID to vote.
Delta won't let me near one of their planes without showing ID.
And have you ever had to pick up tickets at will call for a major league game....oh that's right, they are on the honor system and I can just walk up and tell them my name.....LOL
Georgia should kick out the Atlanta Braves as retaliation.
I thought Marco Rubio shredded Rob Manfred pretty good challenging him to resign his membership at Augusta National.
Like that is gonna happen. I love watching hypocrites get trolled.
Maybe since Coca Cola is so woke now, they'd like to pack up and move their operation out of Georgia and out west to equally woke California...pay their employees a living wage in this high cost state, and pay the state taxes and fees associated with doing business here.
Coca Cola...where are you???

Totally agree!
@Hush,
As much as I hate the Dodgers, your post distorts the facts. The City of Los Angeles took the land in Chavez Ravine by eminent domain...then they gave it to the Dodgers...seems to me the politicians from the 50s should be making it right...but they're all dead!!! Hell, that was even before Mayor Sam Yorty's time!!!
****
The people on these boards always hating on California don't seem to be leaving.
They just stay here, make lots of money, and bitch and whine the whole time.
I suppose companies in Georgia deserve the same consideration. haha.
Although the situation there does bring up a separate question. - - Why does a giant company like Delta need 'tax breaks'? Doesn't that just mean the poor working slobs have to pay more taxes to make up for Delta's unwillingness to pay their own taxes?
And please don't give me the "employers create jobs" line. With the rare exception of transformational entrepreneurs like Gates or Jobs, companies don't create jobs.
Demand creates jobs, not supply.
Manfred's a FUCKING MORON!
How the owners could pick such a tool is beyond me.
Course you could say the same for the nba & nfl with silver & goodell.
Atticus Finch

"And please don't give me the "employers create jobs" line. With the rare exception of transformational entrepreneurs like Gates or Jobs, companies don't create jobs.

Is it the same as your stomach creates food?
There too many levels of stupid here to attempt a save, lol.
Your skull holds a rotted brain.
You must be a USPS mailman?
Supermarket super hero grocery bagger?
Port-a-potty domestic engineer?
You can't be serious
What a complete imbecile
Speaking of Coke-Cola... of 1936, Why can't he hold still ?
.
Employers don't create jobs? Demand creates jobs?
Ooooook with that logic I want organic food I would just grow my own and maybe Henry's Trader Joe's or Boneys never become businesses... there ya go!!
Ya see employers do create jobs. They figure out how to do things in a cheaper or more convenient fasion.
fucking Woke cocksuckers fucking shit up. We have pretty fucking good here! as a Hispanic Male I can 100% attest to that!!
georgia needs to immediately rescind all tax breaks for coke and delta and force them out of the state, maybe a move to ny or ca would be a better fit

Hey GoBalls, your complete unwillingness to entertain a different viewpoint reveals how small minded you are, so how about you go fuck yourself with a fresh cactus?
God this website is filled with retard Republicans.,

âDoesn't that just mean the poor working slobs have to pay more taxes to make up for Delta's unwillingness to pay their own taxes?â
No it doesnât.
It only means that if you have the starting point of thinking the government is entitled to a specific amount of income. There is not a single household or business that can operate with the fiscal philosophy of government.
That isnât a âleftâ dig. Itâs a government dig. Both left and right are about equally irresponsible, just in different ways. Where I give the right a little credit in this area ... is they prefer to let people keep more of their earned money and try to incentivize business to grow. (They still spend money ike a drunken sailor... which just adds to the problem) The left tends to penalize success.
A lot of problems... few reasonable answers.

âAnd please don't give me the "employers create jobs" line. With the rare exception of transformational entrepreneurs like Gates or Jobs, companies don't create jobs.
Demand creates jobs, not supply.â
Bigseeker... you do realize that comment... and line of thinking is incredibly flawed?
âDemandâ NEVER gets satisfied without the risk of an employer. At some point... Demand was created by an employer bringing a product to market.
There are few things outside of the most basic life necessities (water/shelter/food/sex) where demand wasnât created by an employer. That is why we donât live in caves and eat bugs. You could... but some smart person brought crap to market... that you could have lived without... but it made your life better/easier. Where did that âdemandâ come from?
Look at that âmy pillowâ clown. Did he invent pillows? Nope. But his marketing created a demand... that was AREADY easily satisfied. Did he start the company because of some great pillow shortage? Nope.
But now hundreds.... even thousands of people (if you include the supply and delivery chain) are employed because some weirdo business guy figured out how sell pillows.
And if I was the governor of Minnesota... I would give that guy incentives to keep his factory and distribution center in my cold ass state (where you canât go outside 3-4 months a year), rather than him moving to Texas, Arizona or Nevada.

KaiserSoce - - at least you know how to talk to someone without being a complete ass. Please spread the calm around.
BigSeeker... I can be a dick sometimes. These are just internet blogs and itâs fun to poke at each other and get reactions.
Balls... is pretty smart and pretty funny... IF you realize he is just a guy on the internet making comments that mean absolutely nothing beyond the blog. That is true for all of us.
If you want real, enlightened and thoughtful conversations... bro... this is the WRONG place.
This is where we tell each other how stupid we are when most of us have absolutely no clue what we are talking about.
Oh, please. Do you think coca-cola will do anything because of principle? It's calculated. It's about money. It has spoken. Suck it up.
One might argue that a ridiculous comment requires does not require a reasoned argument.
There really is nothing to talk about when one totally dismiss the risk and effort a business owner takes when forming their business and does not credit them with any societal benefit. If there were no societal benefit in pretty sure business owners would likely want those taxes and fees back that they pay (I do realize large employers get tremendous tax breaks... That occurs when our political class doesn't work in our interest or does depending on your perspective).
In any event when someone lobs a bomb over a wall they really shouldn't be surprised if one gets thrown in their direction.

"Hey GoBalls, your complete unwillingness to entertain a different viewpoint reveals how small minded you are, so how about you go fuck yourself with a fresh cactus?"
Why should anybody "entertain" a completely fucked up viewpoint?
Your statements regarding economics, supply, demand, etc. are empirically incorrect, in fact, ignorant, if not outright stupid.. If I made a statement about a field I have no expertise in, say electrical engineering, that's completely stupid....a trained electrical engineer could and should call me out on it.
If you don't want to be called out, then don't offer up opinions that have no basis in reality.
Any Econ 101 prof would've laughed at your post, then kicked you out of class as uneducable.
You think econ is some kind of woke field where everything is equivocal and data/analysis is simply to be used as a basis for your "narrative"?
Fuck that.....And grow the fuck up.
Personally, I've enjoyed some of your posts and found them mostly reasonable but this crap you posted about supply/demand? Just plain dumb and the sign of a lazy thinker.
I think you can do better
Please don't prove me wrong
PS. Good time for you and the idiots who've posted about supply side econ, to review Robert Mundell's work on international monetary arrangements and free capital markets. The father of the Euro and architect of supply side econ died in the last week, RIP.

Iâm not an electrical engineer... but I think if you connect a wire to the positive terminal of a car battery... and another wire to the negative terminal.... and then touch one wire to each of your balls.... it would hurt.
Any electrical engineers want to set me straight?

Im just gonna say....I flippin' love MY PILLOW!!
That my pillow guy....he has created a lifetime demand from me. For whatever thats worth. Seeing as MY PILLOWS are washable and do not need to be replaced as often as the average pillow.

Seems like the âfree marketâ crowd is upset because the âfree marketâ is doing whatever it wants đ¤Ł

Love My pillow!! Highly recommend!

I'm just enjoying the obvious hypocrisy EVERYWHERE...
Like Mitch McConnell - ALL about corporate free speech, companies can say whatever they want, companies are people, companies' speech should never be restricted or retaliated against...
until they start saying something he doesn't like - and all of a sudden he's all about muzzling the corporations and making threats of punitive laws....
Righties used to attack lefties because of cancel culture.
Now they join them in doing it.
More evidence they are both full of intolerant crybabies.
âuntil they start saying something he doesn't likeâ
This isnât about what a company has to say. Itâs about companies choosing to serve only customers they agree with. Itâs a dangerous precedent to begin setting.
It's not about Colorado in comparison. It's not about woke companies. It's not about companies not serving anybody. Companies are being forced to woke. If you don't know what it means, look at what happened and more importantly, what's going to happen.
MLB moved, da da! Coca-cola spoke out, da da! It happened. It's done. And they aren't taking it back. Now what are you going to do? Coca-cola still wants to serve everybody. But can you cancel coco-cola? Ha ha!
Look at MyPillow. Some stores don't sell it anymore. Either the stores don't want to be canceled or as they say, the pillows don't sell much so they have to take it off. Amazon sells it but Bezo can get away with anything because he owns WaPo! And he's the richest guy in the world. Untouchable.
There are talks about breaking up the companies, taking back tax concessions. But it's just talking. You can't break up a company because it says something you don't like. Pass something. I'm eager to see.
An example is WaPo, Amazon. Even Trump can't touch him. What can you do to Coca-cola?
It's interesting to see the next state who passes some voter restriction laws. Other companies have to speak out. Are you not going to fly? Not going to drink? Why don't you cancel Amazon? Stop buying things made in China?
Can't wait.

once upon a time someone would have stood up and said enough! I was taught that one man (person) with courage can be a majority and 99 times out of 100 if you stand up to a bully they will back down. IMHO, too many of our elected officials are moral cowards and the same can be said of the leadership/ownership of too many organizations. What would have happened if MLB had said - did you read the new law? you guys are crazy - of course we aren't moving the all-star game!
I am sorry but MyPillow pillows are straight garbage.
Bought one long ago and its no better than a crappy 2 star hotel pillow. This was before I found out the Michael Jindel dude was nuts.

Georgia is having an internal struggle as itâs various factions jockey to be the loudest.
"It's not about Colorado in comparison."
why the fuck not, you imbecile?
Atlanta is 50% black and they just lost $100m
Even Stacy Abrams was pissed off about that
Denver is 9% black
Nice way to reverse fuck the blacks again
And, fuck yeah.........i won't fly Delta and I won't drink Coke
Just my own 2 cents of woke
Fucking woke me when it's over, ya dumbase bitches
Abrams is pissed about GA losing out here and local Dem's have egg on their faces... she flip flopped on this but the Woke mob and MLB followed her initial outrage on the voting laws passed.
She worked so hard to get those watered down voter requirements and "no signature" verification for mailin ballot changes in place for the last election so they could roll out the suitcases and run those preprinted ballots late at night.
Shit that bitch was nominated for a Nobel Prize along with BLM... Not sure which is more ridiculous really
Yeah I'm not buying anything Woke
