i'd kinda be afraid they don't make enough money for routine maintenance

^^
I wouldn't worry about that.
It's my understanding that EVERY mechanical piece of an aircraft is logged by # of flight hours, and has a FAA required maintenance schedule - by highly paid mechanics.
Even overseas repair stations must follow FAA guidelines (if servicing USA airframes)
Besides, it's likely that many of the planes you have been on, weren't owned by the airlines themselves, but leased through specialized leasing companies.
The leasing companies naturally have a strong interest in keeping their asset value at maximum. If Avelo goes BK - airframe is leased to another party.
As a side note, even internationally, a plane can't take off (get ground clearance) if the airline isn't up on it's payments for it's airline fleet (or otherwise rescheduled)
There is quite a market for used avionics/ components, and the records must document every single flight hour. No documentation, no sale. Simple as that.
This isn't the cold war era Aeroflot.
I'd be more concerned about the excessive baggage and other fees.

HX blogs where cynicism and pessimism lives.
Hey as long as the duct tape is replaced on the airframe periodically then I'm good.

Really interesting that all destinations are round trip to Burbank, but no direct flights between any of the other locations.
My guess is some of those flights are not even once a day. Can't imagine they can sell 189 tickets to and from Bozeman, Eureka, Grand Junction, Redding, etc., 7 days a week.
