Worst Oscar telecast ever. Should have had Best Picture as the last award of the night.

Regina King walking in like a bad ass was... well... bad ass.
I liked it not being in the big Dolby theater. Though next year it will be back to normal.
So much for it being shot like a movie though it did look to use abnormal cameras or settings. I was thinking there would be a narrative with light vignettes interconnecting everything but nope, just a smaller venue.
I liked Reese Witherspoon’s and other’s stories about how inspiring the actors were as they were being announced.
And yes, best picture should be the capstone of the night. Best Actor followed by Actress or vice versa followed by Best Director and then Best Picture to wrap up the night. The movie is the most important thing, not anyone in it or who worked on it.

The numbers tanked LAST YEAR and it had nothing to do with Covid-19 or people not seeing the movies. Last year was the all time low before they got to this year's all time low.
Yes, they have been liberal but didn't used to spend the entire time in their award shows spewing politics.

And the previous years' ratings drop may have more to do with films not enjoying the dominance they once had in terms of entertainment than in any political statement, but keep up your wishful thinking!
