Linked is more information about the blood clots from the J&J vaccine. All 12 events occurred in women less than 60 years of age.
The risk is very, very small. It's still not certain the vaccine was responsible. If you want to be extra-safe, if you are a woman less than 60 years of age, consider getting the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines.

Even if you have gotten vaccinated you may still get covid-19. Per a news item on KNX 1070 radio today several thousand Californians that are fully vaccinated have caught the disease.

I had to laugh. She had on one of those full plastic shields and the mask and was just driving down the freeway. Not a soul in her vehicle with her. Of course, as I came up from behind to go around her, I saw the Biden 2020 sticker and that was all I needed to know.....

Nor does the science say pupils should remain learning via zoom....
Nor does the science say a vaccinated person needs to wear a mask when outdoors by themselves.
I have listened to the 'science' for awhile now and I think there are some who are pulling 'science' out of their assess now.....

You have no idea why she was wearing it. Perhaps, she was going from one indoor place to another and didn't want to bother taking off her face shield and mask and carry them around.
I'm pretty sure she realizes there's zero risk of getting COVID in a car.
I know I often don't bother taking off my mask when hopping from one store to another. I find it easier just wearing it than cleaning my hands, removing the mask, going somewhere else, putting on the mask, and making sure the fit is good. The masks don't bother me that much.
But, no, just fit along with the narrative that people are just scared and being unscientific about things...

I actually have to find myself having to agree with SOA and some others. You are an ass. I don't see a need to be running down Joe's wife even if some of these idiots did the same thing to Melania Trump. The reality is neither of them were or are running the country so I could care less what they are doing unless it ends up being a major distraction.
If you are following the news you would know that in California alone several thousand people received both doses of the vaccine and still came down with Covid 19. If you can catch it you can spread it. So I imagine masks are here to stay for some time. I am not going to post links but there is even a paper about it from MIT and other places.
The reality is to a large extent we have the blind leading the blind in regards to this disease and this vaccine. People like Fauci and Birx want you to get the vaccine and will try to tell you how safe and effective it is. Unfortunately some of the statements both of them made early on causes a rational person to question either their honesty or their intelligence. The politicians will try and pretend they know what is best but they are even more clueless.
You are just going to have to deal with chaos for a while longer.

Of course when Ivanka got her vaccine shots and broadcasted it, all the Trump lemmings roasted her for getting it....so maybe their is wisdom in hiding from the ignorance of those you lead.
We are safer as a country when everyone follows the CDC guidelines. Wearing a mask doesnt keep you safe as much as it keeps others safe from you. Even if you got the vaccine, you can carry the virus and spread it.
We have been repeating this for at least 6 months now but many of you just cannot seem to grasp the difficult concept of...wear a mask.
I will add that early on in this thing, we were told masks were not necessary because there was a shortage of masks. They wanted to make sure that those most exposed and most necessary in fighting this thing, the front line medical workers would have enough. Remember all the stories of hospitals re-using ppe for a week, wearing none, wearing face shields cut out of spare plastic etc? They downplayed maskwearing then because they knew everyone would go out and hoarde them keeping them from hospitals.

Actually a respected scientist came out today in the Post and said if you've been vaccinated, you don't need to wear a mask OUTSIDE or INSIDE (see link).
Don't know where he got the data on how vaccine affects aerosol transmission to be able to make that conclusion.
I assume he means that masks would still being warn indoors by the unvaccinated (or those without natural immunity).
Perhaps this is based on data showing the awesome effectiveness of vaccines in preventing infection as well as keeping nasal airways clear of the virus.
So, in a sense, having had the vaccine is a de facto substitution for masking up with respect to the virus.
Thus, as enough of the country is vaccinated (or has natural immunity), we can eventually stop wearing masks indoors.
This is going to happen sooner than later folks, THE SOONER YOU GET YOUR VACCINE.
