No, it's my patriotic duty. The irs has a sliding scale of payments depending on recovery. I get much less if I just identify probable evaders but I get more if I can provide details like dates, amounts, locations. I especially enjoy reporting retail businesses that provide cash discounts. The problem is that sometimes the businesses still lose money and all my call ends up doing is driving them into Chapter 7. I am owed by California code some of the sales tax recovered but like I said California is slow to pay. I started mAking money like this in the 80s when I played golf with a waiter in an exclusive DC restaurant. He couldn't stop bragging. I even offered to wear a wire but it was much easier. All they had to do is pull the credit card reciepts.I think I got 700 bucks.
If you work for a wage, why should we pay all the taxes?. If the cheats pay their share, we can balance the budget. The IRS is our friends!

Absolutely we can balance the budget with 100% compliance. Just taxing criminal profits would probably do it. I only report those that I can provide evidence of braggarts that will give me their entire scheme in the golf course. If course anyone that will give me a cash discount as long as I don't ask for receipt will make me a few hundred bucks and a visit from the criminal division of the IRS. Sales tax fraud gets them a visit from the state boys. I only do this to a**holes as my payout is minimal.

I traded out of most of them last week but I slept through the short squeeze. π’π’π’ I kept my PUTS which I will I will hold to the next short squeeze.
