Newsom knew this surplus was there....he didn't propose these stimulus checks back when we probably really needed an economic boost....he does so now as the recall gets closer....duh, how about 'buying' some votes Gavin....pretty clear.
But we still have all of the problems that were stated above.
Water management problems
Huge homeless problem
Unfunded pension issue
Power grid problems
But don't forget about all of the other issues
Highest level of poverty in the country
Education K-12 ranked 37th in the nation
Highest gas tax in the country
Best States for Business ranking 31st even though we have the greatest GDP of all states

i have no idea how easy it is for a non-citizen to get money from state or fed govt. i have a feeling this is a lot like voter fraud. Can someone put a number on the amount of money stolen by "illegals"...? And what about the taxes they pay but are not eligible for any benefits.? It seems state and local govts are left holding the bag for "illegals" and not the federal govt.
