Unbalanced omnivourus. 😊
I've been following a rather practical and unexciting diet plan by my nutritionist and my doctor.
Heavy in fruits and veg.
Meats preferably lean...but it's ok if it used to go moo...
Any starches are high fiber.
Less Fast Food (it was a compromise...)
A crap ton of exercise.

The first thing both the doctor and nutritionally both said this isn't a diet; it is a lifestyle change.

Oh and finding great local farmer markets really helps. I'm spoiled now; for example an apple from Ralph's tastes like cardboard compared to in season apples. Stuff like that.

I've been mostly carnivore for over a year, Makes me feel better mentally than any other diet i've tried, less waste on the toilet, and its not really that expensive.

In general though, its probably most healthy to eat mostly whole foods and avoid eating excess refined sugars and other processed foods.

Did my own version of Keto....Lots of meat and salads...no sugar, no bread, no rice, no pasta.

Dropped 40+ in 103 days.

For me it's a lifestyle change.

If you can't stay on it, it won't work. Like other posts say, it's a lifestyle change which has to be sustainable. Eat everything close to its natural form as possible. I also have been on intermittent fasting for a few years now, 16hrs fast and eat during the 8 hrs window.

Usually people go on a diet because they eat poorly & gain weight.

How about just a diet of healthy food, there's tons at the grocery store !!

Fast food is just that, fast & convenient at the time, however it's not healthy, & it's costly when you consider how much you pay for a meal, you could buy a lot more food at the store for ya buck !

Drink WATER & lots of it !!

It's not ALL about being skinny, it's about having a healthy lifestyle.

For me intermittent fasting (18/6) has been the most sustainable way of eating coupled with keeping a rough track of calories. A lot of elderly Asians have been doing it before it became popular. I’m doubtful of eliminating whole food groups as a healthy practice long-term. Just be smart about keeping things in balance. Lastly, everyone’s body reacts differently to different foods along with sugar, alcohol, meat, carbs, etc. There’s no cookie cutter approach to eating. Be in tune with your body.

I tried the all beer diet. No food just beer. Was fun for while. Then I went back to eating solid food. Lost no weight.

I've been on Keto for a month, lost 12 lbs. No sugar under and under 20g carbs. I'm attributing the weight loss to the Violent Explosive Diarrhea that Keto causes... 💩

Intermittent fasting works well but it’s only a tool to make you be in a calorie deficit. Calories are king when it comes to weight loss. Combine with weight training and walking you’ll shed easily

If you simply want to lose weight it is mainly calories-in, calories-out. Anyone with some self-control can achieve it. But if you actually care about your health you need to make sure you are getting the proper nutrients vs. looking 'ripped'.
