Don’t know who “they” are because I’ve never used Twitter a day in my life other than when a tweet is talked about on the news. No matter if a social media platform is left or right, there’s always a need for a compliance department (ie censorship). That’s gotta be the shittiest part of running a Social Media platform. I’m surprised that he wants to take that on. There are some things or people you can’t fix but can only manage/contain or sometimes show them the door. HX is the perfect microcosm in action and we ve seen intentional shit stirring knuckleheads get booted for repeated malicious content against other people or violating TOS. I’m almost curious to see how a more conservative minded Twitter owner or Board would manage Twitter content.

It's about equal application of standards. Twitter says its algorithm is to blame but the evidence points to silencing of unapproved personalities.

|
It's about Elon Triggering the Left.

@1inchdickanddumb
If silenced personalities means traitors, white supremacists, and anti-science Neanderthals then you are correct. Free speech is legal but also responsible and, most importantly, integrated with a free market economy. If what you say is economically damaging or unprofitable then you will be unsuccessful. Or as the kids say today, cancelled. What a quaint reappropriation of an idea which has existed since Moses cancelled the Egyptians and started his own thing.
The fact of the matter is that Twitter is a private company with its own tos just like hx. If you do not like that do not join that and shut the fuck up.

Oh be quiet. You will sound less stupid..

"If what you say is economically damaging or unprofitable then you will be unsuccessful. Or as the kids say today, cancelled."
And that is why the Democrats are headed towards a bloodbath of Biblical proprtion in November.

It’s assholes like Alex Jones who’s a professional profiteering shit stirrer who makes money fomenting lies, conspiracies and anger that social media sites need safeguards against. Shit stirrers who spews out lies such as Sandy Hook massacre never happening. Is this free speech?
What should Twitter do to someone like Alex Jones?
What should Twitter do to Holocaust deniers?
What should Twitter do Flat Earthers like Kyrie?
I got a feeling that if Elon gets his hands on Twitter, he plans to marry his company’s AI technology (machine learning) w Twitter’s vast amount of content/data. Maybe he thinks his AI self-learning software can be taught to moderate/police Twitter’s content better than people? That or he might make Twitter his default app for his vision of people subscribing to a membership of autonomous cars. Via Twitter’s vast user base, people can order a nearby autonomous Tesla via Twitter much like people are doing w Uber/Lyft.

Back in 2013 when Jeff Bezos purchased the Washington Post the story by the Business Insider had the following distinct comment,.. "this marcks a fascinating cultural transition in America."
Now 2022 the exact same publication has the following comments with regards to Musk offering to buy Twitter,... "Elon Musk's attempt to buy Twitter represents a chilling new threat: Billionaire trolls taking over social media."
How is Elon Musk any more of a troll than Jack Dorsey, Jeff Bezos, or Mark Zuckerburg?...
Politics my friend. We clearly have problems with the people controlling censorship on Twitter, Facebook, and even Instagram.
The Left's entitled elite are freaking out that someone who is not one of their own is treading on the ground they covet and control.

I dont pay much attention to Alex Jones but it's CNN and MSNBC that are the syndicated shit stirring shit shows on the daily.
CNN's new project CNN+ has literally bombed.
Initial investment of $300M and they cant break 10k listeners per episode.
Chris Wallace pissed he left Fox news for this shit.

I don't see you whining about Murdoch owned newspapers like the NY Post, WSJ and Harper Collins....Or the fact that FOX News started the whole news channels catering to a specific political slant.
|

^ LMFAO..... whooooooooo you should be headlining at a comedy club.

@2small... Twitter already claims their AI is censoring the content fairly... so does facebbok..Facebook... yet the reality of what gets censored disproves that.
I have no idea what Musks plans for Twitter would be and neither do they for that matter. Nor any one on this board.... but I bet his plans have a lot to do with making a better profit and engaging more of society... something the board should ve concerned with but isnt.

Bwana obviously does not watch Joy Reid, Rachel Maddow, Don Lemon, Brian Stelter, Seth McFarlane, Jimmy Kimmel, or Jon Stewart ... all of which I have occasional viewed laughed and mostly disagree with on a huge variety of topics ... but hey I'm not calling on them to be different than what they are.... but if some entity buys the platforms they are on I'm sure that changes would be made .... some changes would be good and others less so.... and ya know what's wrong with that?
Not a fucking thing.

I too have gotten lots of laughs watching Hannity and Carlson, et all....

According to Attorney Robert Barnes there are three out comes, no matter which happens it's going to land in court. Stay tuned.

Even Attorney Robert Barnes has stated that Musk is the best he has ever seen at Marketing and Trolling.
I stand by my first comment. Although I didn't use the word troll, but ...

Several media outlets reporting that Jack Dorsey ripped Twitter's board over the weekend citing "it's consistently been the dysfunction of the company."
Earlier, he (Dorsey) responded to another tweet in the same thread. It quoted venture capitalist Fred Destin citing what he called a "Silicon Valley proverb": "Good boards don't create good companies, but a bad board will kill a company every time."
Dorsey responded, "big facts."
Dorsey still sits on Twitter's board but plans to leave once his term expires at the 2022 meeting of shareholders, which is scheduled for late May.
