How you present the data can really do a wonderful job covering up for effects.
I saw someone present two trajectories for number of hospitalizations, one with states that had the 10 % highest vaccination rate, and one with the 10% lowest vaccination rate, and the trajectories were also rather similar, so no effect, right?
But if you separate out vaccinated vs unvaccinated and then present the trajectories, there was a huge difference.

If you have pre-existing conditions, and test positivity is going up, consider a KN95 or similar mask in crowded, indoors, poorly ventilated public places. I know I will.

I tend to get sick when I travel. It probably would have been a good idea for me to have used a KN95 during those times. COVID or no COVID.

Its always been about personal risk as with anything in life. However the LIBS would not allow any of us to exercise that right. Something called PERSONAL FREEDOMS.

I said SCIENTIFICALLY that masks can not stop a virus. A virus can EASILY go through these masks. The materials//non woven mesh can NOT stop a virus. Even better or why would people who work with virus's wear them? That is science.

Kn95 only works about 30% of the time. And once YOU touch it. Its infected. Thats right...and they can ONLY be worn ONCE. Yes it "may" provide some benefit. Not long term by ANY STRETCH.

I agree with your statement in general, but I think that WANTING to wear a mask (as opposed to being mandated to wear one) is a personal choice. I hate wearing one and go without it every chance I get, but what I don't agree with is ridiculing someone who has made the PERSONAL CHOICE to wear one when it is not mandated. A free society is based on people making personal choices as long as they don't break the law. When someone goes out of their way to ridicule or attack another person just because they don't have a similar belief system, whether it be religious, scientific, or anything else that is legally moral, then that is wrong - plain and simple - full stop! My term for someone like this is "Moral Terrorist!"
Since the introduction of the internet, which gave a pulpit and a voice to anyone who has a computer or a smartphone, we have seen an amazing amount of supposed EXPERTS on various subjects that have never even studied it. When it comes to a question of SCIENCE, I have a tendency to believe the findings of SCIENTIST, not someone who just barely passed biology in high school. It is just too hard to separate fact from fiction when we are being constantly bombarded with counter beliefs and made up facts. But in the end, whatever source a person chooses to use to fact-check the statements (and subsequently believe in that position) is a PERSONAL CHOICE - and no one has the moral right to ridicule or degrade them for it. And if you want to waive the first Amendment flag at me for that last statement then look carefully at it again. Freedom of speech is a LEGAL right, not a MORAL right! There is such a thing as freedom of speech gone too far!
I don't like wearing a mask, but when I saw the reporting of adults standing outside a high school and shouting insulting and degrading remarks towards students wearing mask I wanted to go out there and slap the dog shit out of each and every one of those (supposed) adults. So let's cut the crap and get down to the only thing that really matters - If you choose to not wear a mask during a pandemic then that is your personal choice, and you have the right to live or die as a consequence of your actions or inactions; just don't try to take others with you to the grave! That is a "Heaven's Gate" mentality!

But I guess what really confuses me is why we even have to talk about things like this on HX. It's kind of like a veterinarian going to church and asking for a few minutes on the pulpit to talk to the congregation, then launching into a power point presentation on why everyone should have pet insurance for their pets!
