Opportunity for the patient.

shit will be hitting the fan and nice nest egg head starts can be made and also life changing money, if it really really got ugly...like the 08/09 crash
too bad no stock club...someone should try and get that existing one from the dude up north and reboot it
|
|
i nominate you btw...get it done

Elon Musk rips Netflix for 'woke mind virus' making it 'unwatchable' as shares nosedive
Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk, who's been gearing to take Twitter private, slammed Netflix as it lost subscribers for first time in over a decade

Disney stock continues its downtrend....
26% down over the past 6 months.

Let's see..... the US has:
1. Inflation.
2. Supply Chain issues.
3. policy decisions to make Energy more expensive.
4. lingering unemployment from COVID
5. declining demand (subject of post)
Seems to me, that's the critical ingredients for Stagflation.
But, my friends here who support Brain Dead Biden will disagree on an emotional level.

i didn't see biden support talked about on this thread
great candidate to take over existing one btw

out of all the flaming libs on the site? he's the only one that ever stepped out and called a spade a spade when he saw one...might have been a little weak ass at times with it, but baby steps if need be
ZERO times by anyone else btw and totally understandable. the shit is pretty fucking embarrassing
keep politics off this all important thread...this is about getting ready for the onslaught.

Musk is an agitator and wants to position himself to buy low before Netflix regains value.
When that will happen is a good question, as the recent moves by Netflix aren’t promising to return them to their peak.

Big hair cut? Stock/market capitalization is down by 66% since December, 2021. I call that getting crushed.
Just too many players in streaming now. The future of Netflix is dim. Younger generation is going to binge on one streaming service then cancel and go to another service. If you can't build brand loyalty then things get really tough.

when people are FLUSH with cash in their budget, they might INTEND to do that, but don't. having cash makes people lazy
now that the extra costs of everyday life are coming off the top...they NEED to start doing that
cutting the cord should be the first thing they do though...the crying and discomfort only last a few days.

netflix to attack their sharing problem pronto...say the numbers are 100m doing that
see how that works
not sure netflix has this feature...amazon and hulu have add'l services to stream and pay for using those accts. just picked up STARZ on amazon and have hbomax and show on hulu
i might be less apt to get rid of hulu or amazon because of this...just more shit to deal with and be lazy about

at some point there will be consolidations - too many streaming players currently.
$10 per month is still very cheap entertainment, decades ago we paid a couple bucks everytime we rented a vhs or dvd.
so even for the very poor netflix is an affordable option though i can see some people binge watching their library and then cancelling moving onto the next streaming service to binge.
i have no plans to cancel NF, its still number one in content.

Fortune
Netflix identified 4 uncontrollable issues that will keep bleeding subscribers in a long letter to investors
Shares of Netflix nosedived more than 25% on Tuesday after the streaming giant revealed it lost 200,000 subscribers in the first quarter alone.
The numbers were dismal, to say the least, considering the company had told investors to expect 2.5 million new subscribers in the quarter, and analysts were expecting more than 2.7 million.
Even worse, Netflix is now projecting it will lose an additional 2 million subscribers by next quarter.

|
It's not really surprising. As long as inflation lasts and keeps growing, people are going to have to start getting rid of 'the luxury' items just to survive.
Expect disney, hbo etc. to start bleeding subs as well.

Goebbels is there anything you are not bitter about? Peanut butter? Rainbows? Puppies? There must be something. Maybe not. Sucks to be you, but you already know that.
