Take a drive up Topanga Canyon… to the look out at the top, you can see the west side of the Valley from there.

I love taking topanga to pch then making a right on pch and just driving until I find my perfect beach spot . What an amazing view . Or another one take valley circle/muholland to pch …
Also as mentioned the look out on topanga +1
And a +1 to the Japanese garden
If you’re into hiking so many great spots right there .. there’s Jim Morrison’s cave .
I also like taking valley circle to woolsy (sp)
The view overlooking the valley is ammmazing !
So many hidden gems all around .

Forget about Woodland Hills or the Valley in general...it's hot...flat and ugly...absolutely "Nothing" is going on there..."Lake Balboa" for instance is Van Nuys...until they decided to try to "Church it up"...go North to Santa Barbara or Beyond or south to the Gold coast of OC or even further to San Diego...all better choices than Woodland Hills or the valley in general!!!
