In case you are wondering what the covid "vaccines" are guaranteed to protect against
The PREP Act amended the Public Health Service Act (PHS Act) to add section 319F-3 (42 U.S.C. 247d-6d). The HHS Secretary has issued several Declarations pursuant to section 319F-3 of the PHS Act to
PROVIDE IMMUNITY FOR ACTIVITIES RELATED TO MEDICAL COUNTERMEASURES AGAINST COVID 19.
YOU CANNOT SUE THE MANUFACTURES OR THE GOVERNMENT
That's the only certainty of these dangerous products.
In fact, the FDA did ZERO safety and efficacy evaluations before giving them the blessing and you the finger upon their release on the public.

Congress enjoyed a free ride on the backs of the Supremes.
Now they gotta go to work.....lazy fucks.

Roe v. Wade is one of the worst decisions in the history of the SCOTUS, right alongside the Dred Scott decision (an escaped slave located in a northern free state and his owner sought to return him back to the South and slave owner won) and Plessy v. Ferguson (segregation laws do not violate the Constitution).
The 1973 Court stretched like Plastic Man to try to find a way, any way, to make abortion a constitutional right. They settled on using penumbras, a dark and shadowy way of implying that an abortion is constitutional on privacy grounds. While there is a 4th Amendment protection to be safe and secure in your possessions, and free from unreasonable searches and seizures, there is absolutely no right to privacy articulated in the constutution, In fact, when no specific constitutional right exists, then the 10th Amendment applies, which reads as follows:
"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people."
I don't care either way about abortions. However, I do care about the constitution and upholding the law. So therefore, per the 10th Amendment, a right to abortion does not exist in the constitution, so that power is "reserved to the state respectively, or to the people."
We don't get to just follow the constitution when we want to, ignore it when we don't, and make it up as we go along. We can't just wish what we want into a constitutional right. It doesn't work that way.
The way it does work if you want a constitutional right? Not through judicial activism. There is actually a process that can be followed. If you want that, get to work...here's how it works:
(1) Both houses propose an amendment with a two-thirds vote, and three-fourths of the state legislatures approve. Twenty-six of the 27 amendments were approved in this manner.
(2) Both houses propose an amendment with a two-thirds vote, and three-fourths of the states approve the amendment via ratifying conventions. Only the 21st Amendment, which repealed Prohibition, was passed in this manner.
(3) Two-thirds of the state legislatures call on Congress to hold a constitutional convention, and three-fourths of the state legislatures approve the amendment.
(4) Two-thirds of the state legislatures call on Congress to hold a constitutional convention, and three-fourths of the states approve the amendment via ratifying conventions.
Like it or not, Roe was a wrong and unconstitutional decision. This Court was tasked with righting that wrong. And like it or not, the actually followed the law. Well done.

I don’t care for any screams for anyone who voted for the party who unanimously supported vaccine mandates. They decided my body my choice was no longer valid so they’re now suffering the consequences.
|
|
abortion is part of the feminist movement and it's been out of control for a long time now
the supreme court is on the right track and about to reign in all that nonsense
a lot of snowflakes will be crying foul this year
|

Interesting.
Reliable source, so that is trustworthy.
HOWEVER: The article did not say, unless I missed it, what case this opinion is attached to.
To the best of my knowledge, the Supreme s don't pre-preemptively make decisions, it's all based on arguments presented to them.
So..... which case was it?
How convincing was that argument?
If true, how bad was the other side?

Wanting to force people to do a thing against their will.
Opposes providing care, paid leave or healthcare.
Cant have it both ways.
Its interesting how no one gives a fuck after the event takes place, only before. Once it is outside the body the attitude is "your on your own now"

^ Incorrect. It’s your parents who are supposed to take care of you. You know like normal human beings. If you get murdered by your parents after you’re born, your parents should go to prison. That doesn’t somehow stop just because you were born. Somehow you cannot get that logic.

Going to be overturned...if someone decides to kill a 12 year old..should that be protected by calling it a very late term abortion?
|
|
Carter, Clinton, Bush & Obama...got (3) supreme court justices between them...Trump got (3)...if nothing else...he fucked all of you progressive libs!!!!!!!
|
|
There's gonna shortage of coat hangers on HX if it gets overturned!!!
|
|
^False. If it’s overturned then it becomes a states issue and abortion is still legal in California.
|
|
The goal is that abortions should be safe, legal, readily obtainable, and rarely needed. We should strive for a society where people have the accurate knowledge about sex/contraceptives, easily obtain them, and provided factual unbiased knowledge so they can make their best informed decisions. Most women who have abortions already have at least one small human and they can't afford another, or aren't healthy enough for another, or the fetus wouldn't survive.
People forget that pro-choice doesn’t mean pro abortion.
|
|
There are decent legal arguments on both sides and the court is deciding to overturn long standing precedent. ( even Kavenaugh and Barrett said Roe was precedent in their confirmation hearings).
The decision does have disturbing aspects to it and that is the right wing political hatred of Roe and pledges by Trump to only pick jurists who were willing to overturn Roe to the Supreme Court . So it was a political setup and not simply or mainly a constitutional one. Now that the right to privacy is no longer good law there may be a political movement afoot to find same sex marriage open to the same fate as Roe. And other rights that have been secure will be open to judicial attack especially in relationship to the family. Conceivably vaccine mandates woukd be upheld as we have no right to the privacy of our body.
|
|
The court is doing what should have been done years ago.... force the no loads on Capitol Hill to do their jobs and legislate. Nancy and Chuck can clutch their pearls all day but they are prepared to go nuclear on the filibuster and push a slipshod ill thought out abortion law on the country .... im certain it will be worse than what we have now but they can only blame themselves.
Get to work congress... you finally have to earn your pay.

Same sex "marriage" is a farce anyway. Two men or two women cannot be married. Calling themselves married only causes confusion because they cannot meet the thousands of years old definition of marriage being between a man and a woman.
Should same sex people be denied the benefits that married couples get -- legal rights to inheritance, fiduciary duties to one another, right to make medical decisions for the other, and much more? Of course not! However, being same sex being "married" is disingenuous. Their own "thing," same as a marriage but by a different name, should have been established.
The problem on the left is they like to live in a pretend world. "I'm binary so don't call me he or she...call me they." Stupid shit like this just confuses everyone and fucks up our language. Normal people have no time or tolerance for this kind of pretend bullshit.
But of course not -- civilly unioned same sex people should not and will not lose their rights.
And you know what...99.99% of people who want an abortion in the future won't have their "right to an abortion" abridged either. The left is making hay about nothing.
|
|
This is the 'Hail Mary' by the left, since their policies under Biden have all turned to dog shit.
|
|
This so called "leak" is another distraction by the Left to ignite and enrage their base.
How many times do we see pure shit leaking from various leftist sources to the media?...
|
|
Roberts has demanded an inquiry into who leaked. Time for some serious beat down for anyone who betrayed the Supreme Court.
|
|
jackrabbit....typical move by the left.
Leak and then play the race card, the misogynist card, the homophobe card, the sexist card, the pan gender card and all of other cards in their deck.
|
|
Yup, a bunch of incels talking about whether women should be free or not. That is the whole problem in a nutshell.
|
|
^nothing to do with Freedom. It is about jurisdiction and the Constitution.
The Federal government has overreached in so many ways. Time to rein them in.
|
|
Well, the Left is pissed and so are some in the right who live in areas where abortion is approved.
They see this as a stab in the back and what was sure to be a red tide is now up for grabs due to the backlash.
|
|
Of course this will not matter if the state allows abortion but the left will run around with their hair on fire screaming and yeling
|
|
I don't think people are changing parties or votes based on this. only crazy leftist are white hot over this.
none of it means shit. if you want an abortion take 100 flight to a kill state and go kill the baby or clump of cells or what ever the leftist call a living thing inside a birthing persons body.
|
|
SCOTUS better get their collective understanding of what a "woman" is...
|
|
I guess it doesn’t matter that Justices Gorsuch and Kavanaugh flat out lied to Congress about Roe being settled law during their confirmation hearings. Also, aren't Republicans supposed to be against judicial activism?
The great thing about this is that when you kick 80% of the country in the groin, you’re going to have a lot of angry people.
Thankfully, this decision is coming before the midterms. Couple this with the Jan. 6 hearings next month, and all I can say is that Republicans can go fuck themselves.
|
|
"nothing to do with Freedom. It is about jurisdiction and the Constitution."
Of course it has to do with freedom. The freedom to choose whether to proceed with a pregnancy. The freedom to make that decision for yourself, and not by the government. There's nothing in the constitution that permits government to make decisions for citizens about having offspring.
"The Federal government has overreached in so many ways. Time to rein them in."
Government overreach can't get any bigger than this.
"They decided my body my choice was no longer valid so they’re now suffering the consequences."
That was an incorrect, hypocritical slogan used by conservatives for their convenience.
"We don't get to just follow the constitution when we want to, ignore it when we don't, and make it up as we go along."
Tell that to the people who stormed the capital.
"Of course this will not matter if the state allows abortion but the left will run around with their hair on fire screaming and yeling"
Well, think about the difficult process a woman would have to go through in order to get an abortion in a state that does not allow abortions.
It's like pro-life conservatives lack foresight.

"the court is deciding to overturn long standing precedent."
Stare decisis, quite a few previous court precedents have been overturned actually.
This abortion of a Harry Blackmun decision was garbage, he reached a destination then had to figure out the way to get there, the dumb ass.....maybe some of you should read it before you judge.
I'm personally pro abortion with reasonable limits and can live with the ones set out in the 1992 SCOTUS decision. The fucking Progs of the 1970's short circuited the process whereby "the people" make the decision thru their elected representatives rather than court edict.
This is an opportunity to get it right. CA abortions won't be a problem.
For the person who posted the question of which case.
I believe the working paper is related to the lawsuit brought by the great state of Mississippi.....where they still have no idea what utensils or TP is used for.
|
|
Bad decision right before midterms. Coukd swing what was a red bloodbath a lot more equal. Good news is that republicans have narrowed the gap to a few hundred k voters in many battleground states as people abandon the democratic party in droves
|
|
Keep government away from a woman's right to choose about what she wants to do.
|
|
Sounds like it has become like the Taliban here in the United States.
|
|
Goebbels it is always so difficult to know where to begin with how wrong you are.
Stare decisis has been overturned by scotus 1/2 of 1 percent of all the cases they have ruled on. Roughly the same percentage of women who have not regretted fucking you.
Harry Blackmun was a Nixon appointment who was anti abortion until he was swayed by the fluent oral arguments comparing abortion to medical health.
What you call short circuiting the process is in actual fact the way the process works. You just did not go to college and do not know how American government works and like a medieval peasant you hate what you do not understand.
Every comment you make screams self hatred in flashing neon lights and this one was no different.

Another example of the left creating more misery for themselves and others.
But don't worry senile Joe will save us! 👍
|
|
Lol hey1 you make this too easy.... im not sure about your 1/2 of 1 percent as I'm not sure of the number of cases the SC has heard but yeah it's probably right ... what's the total number of time?
FROM THE SAFE OF ALL KNOWN LIBERAL KNOWLEDGE WIKIPEDIA!!
"As of 2018, the Supreme Court had overruled more than 300 of its own cases."
Not exactly as miniscule number of times as the 1/2 or 1 percent number you used characterizes the precedence of this decision.
One of those cases was 136 years later another just 11 months.
Another thing to point out is that just like Roe v. Wade and Dobbs made it to the court.... whether this decision is actually going to stand or not there will undoubtedly many more cases to come before the court .... this subject will never be settled. And the over reaction of the left is just LARPing to motivate their base for the midterms..... as always I support your right to vote.

The information contained in Wikipedia can be altered by any idiot. If the Supreme Court is constantly reversing itself, then what kind of guidance would it give to lower courts (and to the public) in making its decisions?
Think logically for once.
“ Historically, the US Supreme Court rarely overturns decisions. In fact, in its 232-year history, it has done so only 233 times. That might sound high, but consider this: Between 1946 and 2020, there were 9,095 decisions made by the high court. In that time, data from the US Government Publishing Office show 161 overturned decisions. That’s fewer than 2% of rulings that overturn prior decisions in whole or in part.”

Just when I thought Elon Musk buying Twitter and watching the libtards lose their heads could not be topped...now this...I love watching these libtards get the collective "Vapors"!!!

Regardless of what you may think, life begins the minute a man ejaculates in a woman's vagina.

"It should go to the States."
What happens if states change laws? The decision of abortion should be left to the individuals involved, not the courts, not the voters, not the government.
"I don’t care for any screams for anyone who voted for the party who unanimously supported vaccine mandates. They decided my body my choice was no longer valid so they’re now suffering the consequences."
An individuals choice to have an abortion doesn't put your life at risk.

It's so natural for Republicans to impose their will on to others. Reproduction rights, marriage, birth control, prayer in school, interracial marriage, declaration of Christianity as official religion, separate but equal, gerrymandering in republican controlled states. It's all ment to Persecute the left. A white male power grab with every intention to NEVER relinquish control of Government.

Don't forget about your Democrats...
Imposing every sanction and lockdown for Covid, even when the science was against them.
Forcing multiple 'genders' on people when there are really only 2...
Critical race theory, which has no substantive factual basis
Packing the court
Adding DC and Puerto Rico as states
Abortion as a Federal right
Gerrymandering in Democratic states....LOL
Forgiving college debt
Open southern border

Land of the Free?
Not as free as we like to make believe.
What is it the governments business what I grow in my backyard or consume or put into my body or make personal choices such as the original topic of this thread?
Its not really about them pretending to know what's right and wrong for me because religion. Its about keeping those profits coming at all costs.
Birthrates are down and they are doing everything they can to prevent that from happening. Even if it means forcing a woman to carry to term a R@PƎ babii.
|
|
This is pathetic…
WHAT A SURPRISE! A bunch of (assuming) 50+ year old probably majority white men deciding what a woman can or can’t do with her body!!!
You all should really educate you’re ignorant asses about the things woman have to go through to not get pregnant, and then what some woman hVe to go through during pregnancy and during birth.
And fuck any of you who think they can decide what I can and cant do with my body. It’s not yours and never will be.
Men who think they have power over woman are PATHETIC. Don’t care what any of y’all think about me for standing up for woman’s rights.
Kamala is right, “CAN YOU THINK OF ANY LAWS THAT GIVE THE GOVERNMENT THE POWER TO MAKE DECISIONS ABOUT THE MALE BODY?”
NO! There isn’t, so mind your own buisness and let woman decide what they want to do with there bodies.
|
|
"And fuck any of you who think they can decide what I can and cant do with my body. It’s not yours and never will be."
We should apply that concept to vaccine mandates
|
|
Covid Vaccines have nothing to do with abortions. No one MADE you get the vaccine, and you shouldn’t make it so woman can’t get an abortion. There is 10000000000 legitimate reasons a woman should have safe access to abortions.
There are very little legitimate reasons you shouldn’t get vaccines.
