The story is true. The names have been changed to protect the innocent. Philanthropist I am not, I never was interested in dinosaur bones.

I just think some of the extremely religious people that post on HX are thinking of a few verses found in the book of Matthew (See Attached). Basically, the verses tell people not to make a big public display of giving alms to the poor or a big public display of praying in order to impress people. It goes on to say that people doing those type of things are hypocrites.
I think a few of these people mistakenly, felt you were being a hypocrite.
