Used to live in Venice over a tattoo parlor back in the day. Owner was a cool guy, not a friend but we got along because of mutual friends.
Many of his clients were people who would go back and have their ink maintained. Keep it fresh and vibrant, and they had the money. In short, a tattoo is for life, but once you go on into decade 2 or more, it’s time to start thinking of keeping it well maintained with fresh ink.

Yeah tattoos do tend to fade over time. A lot of it has to do with your skin tone and complexion as well. Theres ways you can slow it down like covering your tattoos when in the sun and using sunscreen. But definitely do need to get them touched up at some point if you want to keep them looking cool.

I have a lot, regret most...if I could go back I'd have 2-3 or maybe none..
I have no no idea about the girls blasted on the neck , chest or the under boob Chandelier, and
face tattoos , really WTF?
All these hot chicks trying to be "Cool" or a "Badass" just ruined their futures. imho.

you can bet none of the women w face tats are getting a job at an investment bank. or any blue chip employer. at least if it is somewhere it can b covered for a 9 - 5 job they can pull it off. if i was seeing a financial planner and he or she had face or neck tats, i am out of there. don't give a shit if people think i am prejudice. i work on the waterfront, see that shit everyday. not impressed.

I've never heard anyone say " you look better with tattoos."
Old people with tats look like beef Jerky.
Ladies stop when you can. Stay beautiful with what nature gave you.

Depends on your culture.
Tattoos in Asian cultures reflect family, achievement and prominence in the community.
|
|
I doubt people with face tatts want to work in a bank.
|
|
it use to be the only people that had tats were
CONVICTED FELONS COMING OUT OF THE SLAMMER
cause you got nothing else to do while your all locked up

Eh, take them or leave them.
But with the trends, it's one thing to indicate how old someone is.
Especially women.
Women, during their younger more rebellious years are more susceptible to trends and to follow the "fashion"
Once they start to squeeze out puppies, by and large they switch to nurturing their kids and won't get more tats (I'm generalizing here)
Given the relative permanence of tats, take a look at the trends:
copying Pam Anderson - barbed wire around the bicep - mid 90s for about 10 years.
"tramp stamps" late 90's into the aughts
aughts into the 10's were Chinese characters generally down the spine.
now its the arm sleeve, or at least tats that aren't as easy to conceal.
So say what you will about tats, you see the average woman out in public with one or more tattoos, you now how old she is just based on the tat.

^ 1000 I also understand some of the tattoos are holdovers from past life trauma. So I try not to judge

They are fun now, not so much in your 50's... LOL

Depends on how you care for them. Some of them are works of art

Weird place for such a conservative view on tattoos. They were here before and will still be around way after you 😂

I didn’t get my first tattoo till I was in my mid to late twenties… but I could never do the face tattoos. The chest and side of my neck are high enough. I can still cover mine up with a turtle neck or sweater.
But I like the way I look with tattoos more. They make me feel like me.

I love chicks with tattoos, the more the better, most of the time.

That Mary broad is one sexy ass hot mama.

the only tat i ever found sexy was the tramp stamp back in the 90s
low hanging shorts or jeans - just to reveal the sign of a tramp.
and it was usually spot on. those girls were loose..

I remember the time when sailors had tattoos then later with gang members.
I'm not into tattoos but tattoos that can be covered by clothing is ok.
I doubt if you'll ever see many U.S. politicians with obviously big tattoos.
Nor will you see many doctors, lawyers and accountants with big tattoos on their bodies.
I believe what many of you are pointing out, is that tattoos are offensive
to many people in this country.

To each his/her own. While I like and don’t mind some tats, I still believe a woman’s body is beautiful as-is. The same goes re: cosmetic surgery and makeup. I have visited ladies who didn’t have time to get dolled up, and I found them attractive — maybe even more!
Again, I like and don’t mind some “accents”, but natural beauty is beautiful!

Times are changing and more people really dont give a fuckkk what you do. Theres a couple guys in congress who have pretty big tattoos but they obviously usually keep it covered. Only people who still might give a fuck are old people who think we need to go back to 50s 60s era LOL. Just dont get some gangbanger shit unless you really about that life.
