It amazes me that you’d like to have armed guards in schools when the police didn’t do shit in the latest school shooting in Texas. Is it not embarrassing to even suggest something so stupid? The FBI ultimately intervened to stop the shooter in this case because the police were too scared to get shot. Fucking disgraceful.
I also never said that there should be a “gun free” zone. Restrict gun purchases to 21 and over, have mandatory background checks, and ban military-style assault rifles that are meant to kill people quickly.
The 2nd Amendment doesn’t give citizens the right to have military-style weapons. Keep your rifles, shotguns, and handguns.
These measures simply make it more difficult to massacre innocent people. There is no country in the world that has this problem except for the United States.

The more you read about the Texas shooting, the more disgusting it gets. The police only entered to save their own children and prevent parents from entering. They waited 47 minutes before federal agents went into the school to take out the shooter. How pathetic is that?
The NRA puts gun manufacture profits ahead of the public’s well-being. 88% of the public wants reasonable gun laws. Fuck the 50 Republican senators who block gun legislation. Most received over $1.4 million from the NRA with Romney receiving over $13 million.
It is disgustingly irresponsible and morally repugnant to allow mass murders to continue in this country without at least trying to do something to stop it. I have relatives who are members of the NRA who want reasonable gun laws. It needs to happen.

I don’t own guns but I’m not against gun ownership. I’m against irresponsible sale of guns to people who shouldn’t own them, and assault rifles are simply wrong for civilians to own them.
Stop mentioning progressives because it makes you look like you’re unaware of the issues and that you just repeat NRA talking points. The latest shooting happened in Texas, the most NRA-friendly state in the country. The police were cowards. Kids are dying because conservatives are in the back pocket of the NRA.
The measures I listed earlier would help the problem. The Texas shooter had recently turned 18 and bought two assault ruffles and 300 rounds of ammunition immediately before killing 19 kids and 2 adult teachers. Why would an 18 year old be sold assault rifles? There is no reasonable reason to sell assault rifles because the risks outweigh any reasonable benefit.
Again, I’m not against gun ownership, but we need reasonable laws to protect our citizens/children. How bad does it need to get for action to be taken?
It took one 8 year old child to die in 1988 for Congress to outlaw metal lawn darts. It’s pathetic that this country is being held hostage by 50 Republican Senators when 88% of the country wants reasonable gun laws.

My first suggestion would be to I anyone that doesn't know the first thing about firearms be permanently removed from the conversation.
There are people who know a lot about guns that make the same suggestions as you do so you'd have someone in the conversation that is equally wrong but at least knows something on the subject.
Then I might suggest .... These background checks that are already mandated to be accomplished.... how about fucking DO THEM. And hold agencies that are non responsive or "miss" things responsible.
I am pro firearm awareness training. I'd even go so far as to say make it mandatory for a prospective gun owner .... and it shouldn't be just a few hours ... it should be something more than that .... mandate registered gun owners get refresher training possibly. Im not married to that but it's a suggestion ... none if us have a solution
I'll be honest .... nothing is going to prevent the next mass casualty event. There will be one and if the guy uses a 22 revolver or an AR 15 or runs a car down a sidewalk. Nothing we do will prevent it.

BTW I was recently involved in having to have firearms removed from the home of my father ... for his safety and the safety of his community. I do have a sense of responsibility on this subject. It wasn't an experience that I would wish on anyone... I was called every name in the book... told I was no longer their family ... you name it It was said ....

Civil rights went on for over 60 years. What have the blacks gained? What have the whites lost? Its minimal if you ask me. Everything changed are superficial and doesn't address the core issues because what needed to change isn't just equality but culture. If your culture revolved on a victim minded ideology or get rich by extreme luck or talent like singing, dancing sporting, you are destined to fail. The same goes for where if you keep doing what you have been doing thinking you deserved this shit where everyone else won't be able to surpass you through hardwork and sacrifices, then you are destined to fail. That comprises for over 30% of 87% of our total population. Close to being 100 million living in their own vicious cycle.
Our problem is we have been too successful in the past 100 years. We stayed stagnant for too long thinking this shit is ours. But this shit is ours to lose and we lost. Many more that are more hungry have caught up. And we panic and start looking for excuses instead of getting back at the fundamentals such as bettering our education, our healthcare system, uniting our nation instead of wokeness and division. Them Chinese, Russian, or other Asians don't give a fuck about all that we cared about. Roe v. Wade? Who the fuck cares everywhere else we are directly competing against. LGBT, fuck that shit. Gun rights? Really? Can you say Christ at a School or gay in School? Like that's even an issue worth a dime on?
How do you take back America? Focus on what matters. Our education, healthcare system and infrastructure. Education won't bear fruit in the next 2 elections. It would in 10-20 years. Same with healthcare. Infrastructure needs to be in place before we expand our economy. Without proper infrastructure, even with rapid economic expansions, our basic needs won't be in in place to support what's coming. And that's a federal and national effort, not just a state effort. Our politicians can't be just thinking on the local level or the short term level, they need a 5 years, 10 years, 50 years plan to set our goals and expectation.
We are too short sighted as a nation due to democracy and elections. No politician is willing to sacrifice for the greater good of our nation. That's the problem.

Take China for example. Everyone, and I mean everyone laughed and belittled them 10-20 years ago for spending all the wasteful money on building ghost cities, highways, and railroad that won't make a single dollar.
But look at them now, those same companies that built all this are building for the rest of the world. Those highways and railroads still don't make shit in profit but they enabled them an infrastructure to support a globally integrated economy to supply the whole world. And they get contracts to build for the world. Look at our supposed highspeed rail in California. Billions wasted on a few miles.
Those fully AI automated ports where they spend tens of billions of dollars on? Even with a bottleneck congestion, they still function like normal. Because they took out the union and human factors. They have dark plants meaning no lights needed because its all automated machines building shit.
WE often say cheap Chinese goods, cheap labor. That was 10 years ago. Now, forget about it. There is no such thing as cheap labor in China as they outsourced all that cheap labor to ASEAN nations and Africa. But China kept their manufacturing in tact as they only outsourced those low level low skilled jobs and they only outsourced some of those and kept the rest in their hinterland to combat unemployment in rural regions. We as a nation, outsourced EVERYTHING to the rest of the world. We kept nothing to our own. And now we don't even have the tech and resources to build back everything. We lost.
We failed miserably on infrastructure and AI plants. And we failed miserably on updating our refineries and power plants. That's why China and rest zero emission sooner than us while still using their power plants based on clean coal.
Infrastructure updating and building is the first step. Its a must. Those illegal immigrants, what we can do is mandate that if they are illegal asylum seekers, they must work in manufacturing and service and agricultural sectors for a # of years to qualify for even seeking green card. Guaranteeing our labors in tact. None of our white kids would ever take their jobs. Forget about it. That way at least we won't have the type of labor crunch like we are facing right now. Why not give jobs that no one want to people who want to be in America? At least we will get tax dollars as income to offset their costs to gov't and society.
