Try some Index Funds first. If you really want to ride the Bull, do Cryptos Limit Trading on the DEX.
KuCoin is cool too. Made some cash there putting a limit on LUNA 2.0. knowing once Binance listed it, it would pump and sure enough it did. I don't always get it right, but I did there. I'm addicted to the volatility of cryptos, stocks too slow for me.
I'm hoping for 1,000% gain on the MM72 shitcoin by doing a Limit Trade there on Pancakeswap. Maybe it will, maybe it wont. Just doing some experimenting, but it yet as to be listed on most xchanges so good chance of a pump. Recently it did a 4,000% gain in May before it came back down. It's a nice little project if you want to stake on your Metamask getting 0.1% daily interest every hour leaving it there. Don't get greedy and put a lot in it, though lol as it could become junk like LUNC, which peeps are still making money shorting it while the volume is still in the tens of millions.
Hope that helps and I didn't confuse you more. I probably did.

looking for investment advice on HX is a surefire way to get financially rocked...educate yourself elsewhere and get investment advice from reputable professionals

Thank you Justify. This is not financial advice, nor am I a financial advisor.
On another note, all you Nerds that are great at coding, you are missing out on Flash Loans Arbitrage Trading on the Blockchain. You can make some serious cash without collateral too. Maybe do some refresher courses on Eat the Blocks to learn it real quick. Anyways, I may try out myself, but got to start from scratch learning Java Script.

GETTING STARTED is the biggest thing. open an acct. down the line, you will have many accts, but START with one and put a 100bucks in it...add to it...make a game of it.
robinhood(the phone app) is very exciting as it helps new people save money.
i don't have one of those, but i see how it could be a good first type of acct to get you started...before you know it, you will have a few thousand bucks in it
crypto.com is pretty much the same thing (i hate the phone only thing, but it's kind of fun to have the phone access)...pretty addicting and want to keep buying shit...that's not a bad thing when you are trying to buy things that can go up in value. other people buy shit and it's just that...stuff/shit
read a couple of fun books to motivate you on your NEW and long journey...for like 6bucks at amazon you can get "the richest man in babylon" ... which should get the fire started for you... the book is in every language and is almost a 100years old. will take you about 2hrs to read...you might be bummed it went soo FAST...that's typically the feedback i got.

Land/Property, as near the ocean or mountains as possible.
Don't download any APs; that just shares your info with others.

you ask a question, but you don't provide a time frame, or a risk tolerence level.
As said above, index funds.
Simple, higher the yeild, the higher the risk.
You want to play the long game (over 20 years, or more), or the short?
I see too many people wanting immediate gratification, they catch a little upturn then act surprised and butt hurt when they loose, and loose big.
Most would say play risky younger, get the higher returns, ride the downs out, as you get older, gradually switch into lower yeild, principal conserving investments.

Boob jobs seem to be a popular investment on hx--not my favorite but better than tattoos.
Consider opening an account with a discount broker like charles schwab which you can do pretty much on line. Consider an index etf. Options are probably not a good place to start. Just remember: plenty of people lose money, especially in the short run.

Mark Cuban suggests that you buy some durable goods at wholesale, like, soap, dish and
laundry soaps. You can also sell them to your friends, associates and relatives at retail.
These type of products last for years.

Got some XCN on a buy limit order this morning at $0.1595 with stop limit sell order at $0.2555. That will be a nice 60% plus gain. Lets see how this one goes.

Buy stock from a discount broker in companies whose products or services you currently use or can explain in one sentence. Hold on because it will be a little roller coaster ride this year. Add to your holdings on dips. Thank me in 24 months!

stay the hell away from options until you have a clue, you'll simply lose it all quite quickly

"Site Mensch" I like that.
1) Set up a traditional or Routh IRA and dump as much money as you can into a quality index fund. Check every year and rebalance as needed.
2) Read as much as you can about investing. When you think you are sophisticated enough to invest in crypto, real estate, individual stocks, etc, go back to item 1.
If you follow this advice, in 15 years you should be in pretty good shape. Otherwise, you probably end up broke.

TD Ameritrade has an app which allow you to use paper money.
great way to get your feet wet and not pay for those lessons, they also have training videos and classes (for option, stocks etc).
I play only long, never had success with day trading.
most of the stocks in my port are companies I believe in their products.
example: cocca cola, costco, boeing

Dividend stocks. Research your own.
Costco.
I like Bitcoin for the long haul but you are going to have to let in alone until the next run up.
If you have a bunch of cash, 5 to 30 unit multifamily is going to be flooding the market in 10 to 24 months as loans made 2-3 years ago come due and interest rates push values down. Gonna be killer deals in Long Beach, Oxnard, Palmdale, Riverside but you gotta buy at minimum 50% LTV.

If you don’t know what you’re doing at all you should talk to a financial advisor that is a fiduciary.

pretty funny shit how we somehow get to starting a brokerage acct for the first time and making a trade, learning how to trade...to getting lots of properties next to the beach
baby steps
|
|
I haven't got to the point of gaining properties by the beach investing, but I did win $1 USDT this morning on a scratch off Lottery Ticket on BabySwap. Bought 3 NFT'S at $8 total to get some free ticket drawings. Total Net Profit -$7. I'm on my way to some beach properties, hell yeah! Come say "Hi" @InsearchofStarfish.

i do tell yng people - you have to give yourself a chance to be lucky...meaning own stuff that can appreciate while you are sleeping and sometimes wildly...like a "home" in this market or a stock?
crypto can work also...different animal.
|
|
Crypto is a good place to start right now. The market is down and it's easy to buy now with Coinbase or even Venmo.
Buy small amounts on a regular basis and pretend it's not there.

talked to a foreigner salesman yesterday...he was so excited to show me his crypto accts on his phone...and his 40k losses since JAN22
i told him NOW is the time to buckle down and put in some REAL work...get ready to sink in another 3-10k down here as it goes lower. he sounded very surprised by this, but excited. gotta put in the work though.
got my cousin a crypto dot com app on his phone. he clearly does not need to do any of this stuff, but wanted to learn about it
every single day...he calls to tell me he bought 20bucks of this and 40bucks of that.
BEFORE you know it...he will have a couple K in the little app. same with robinhood app. THOSE are great tendencies to have.
BE great for parents trying to get started with kd type stuff...JUST THAT WHOLE 20bucks here and there thing...ADDS up
|
|
Not if that crypto goes to zero
He'd be better of spending that $20 on a B&G
Never too young to start

with the market down 20-30% and 10% inlation, its time to buy stocks..
|
|
Wait until tomorrow after the Inflation Report from the Feds. If it's bad the stocks and cryptos will go lower for better sales. If it's good, we will see a bump. Waiting to pull the trigger on the BNB-BabySwap Liquidity Pool to get the best price hopefully and keep it there for a few month's or until end of year getting some interest. If the coins go up, that will also increase your earnings. Don't put in what you can't afford to lose, otherwise you are taking a big risk. I see so many crybabies losing their life savings. Bad decisions, not everything goes to the moon, but you can get some decent gains if you do your homework. Let's Go!!!
