Exactly the route you're going! Xo
Find that youre emotionally intelligent enough to identify it's just a bad day or a bad thing. ❤️
What's momma say:
When you cannot change something, change the way you think about it.
|
|
Ya mind set is every thing.
Look for the positive no matter how small it maybe.
Move on quickly as possible.
Cant sleep, Melatonin.

Melatonin and milk..
Milk has tryptophan 👌😁
It's my nightly regimen.

Try not to look for instant gratification. The 100% you put in today will reap benefits in the future.
|
|
The Serenity Prayer.
God Grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change
The Courage to change the things I can; and
The wisdom to know the difference.
I also tell my inner vocie to shut the fuck up a lot.

Momma said there will be days like this. Lol. There is truth to that. Some day will be downers. Sometimes the days seem bad since our opinions about what is happening shape our response, maybe drop the opinion. Also we often get hung up
On events and people that our not within our control. Once we recognize this we can go easier on ourselves.

This poem is what Nelson Mandela would read to himself when he was a prisoner; it was one of the things that inspired him to keep going.
Invictus
By William Ernest Henley
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul.

|
We need more men like Mandela.
As well, William Ernest Henley.
I set my sights on reasonable targets, like becoming part of Hannah's daily regime.

How you react to 'having a bad day' is a choice - you can choose to get frustrated and mad about it OR you can choose to not let effect you or the rest of your day.
Personally I look at them as challenges to be over come. So I take a breath or 2 then try to find a solution, if it's a problem that crops up. If it's just something that happens I try to laugh at it then go about my day as if it never happened.
So far it's worked pretty well.

I know a few athletes who have shared how they shake off a bad day, and some of their ideas were impressive.
After a bad day, go to the batting cage and rip for 15 minutes. Reminds you that your skills are intact.
After a bad half or period, takes off all his equipment and clothes and takes a cold shower. Resets his body and mind.
After a bad Sunday (football player), schedule the next day a visit to the shooting range.
A therapist I knew had a simple recommendation that works. Go the bathroom. Fill the sink with ice and cold water. Look in the mirror for five seconds. Dunk face into ice and water for 30 seconds.
Rise, wipe your face, and look at yourself in the mirror. It's the same you, but refreshed from whatever is bothering you.
There is also a legendary baseball player, who was a bit of a reprobate, who teammates swore would masturbate between innings.

Put energy into self. Go to the gym, that’s what I do. It’s a good feeling afterwards.
|
|
Try not to contribute to whatever is causing the bad day with self destructive behavior.
|
|
just step back and accept the situation and approach it with a positive mindset and take one step at a time and soon it will be over, sometimes its not easy but it has to get done and dealt with if not you'll be spinning in circles.

I reflect on all of the things there are for me to be grateful about and snap out of it.

I've got a fairly good track record of helping people get out of a funk. I just hang out with them. I listen to them vent about anything and everything they need. Get some food, maybe a drink, and try to do something you normally wouldn't. Go to a movie, miniature golfing, or just something childish and goofy. Anything to just get you out of the situation and your own head.

I smoke a pac of cigarettes, and slam a fifth of vodka.

Focus on the positive things in life when it feels like everything bad is going on
I have a game that I play with myself where if something goes wrong I have to think of 3 positive things in the situation . Like when my tire blew out on the freeway I sat back and thought of things that I appreciated in the moment such as 1. Thank God it was just my tire and not a crash where my car was totalled. 2. I was grateful that I had AAA and was able to make it to a shop safely. and 3. I was grateful that America's tire replaced it for free.
Pay attention to the good things in life and good things will come. Or sit back and try to figure out the lesson in the situation that was handed to you, then do your best to learn from it

I have my comfort hobbies that revolve around light-hearted things, like posting on a specific old forum where people joke around a lot about everything but also video games or watching comedic videos on Youtube. I also just got tired of being stressed all the time and know it's not healthy, so I simply try not to dwell on problems by sitting there and moping. Basically, just focus on positive comfort food.

There will always be things out of your control. But you own your attitude, stay positive.
|
|
There is a horrible person that I know that always has negative things to say about me and others. For purposes of this blog, lets say his name is Joe Blow.
When something bad happens I say, "At least I didn't run into Joe Blow today",
|
|
whatever bad things happen to you that make you feel bad you can always remember
That there are millions that have it worse. People starving, living on the streets, no family, no money.
There are some that will not see tomorrow.
Put it in perspective. you will tomorrow. It’s a new day.
Things will not get better for some. For you it will.

So the reason we are so hard on ourselves are ancient.
way back in the day, when a rock was our only tool, alot of planning went into safety, eating and surviving.
if you made the wrong decision, bam youre wounded, dead or very hungry and your family is in danger.
its a survival "tool" in our brains - dont fail. but now this trigger - its outdated.
So talk to yourself, tell yourself it was not your fault and that you did a great job.
Look at how it could have been much worse but you did this and that to prevent.
take a bath, read a book, watch a comedy, hug your loved ones, hug yourself and tell yourself you love you.
meditation, exercise, sports, games - are all good to get your mind off things.

Life is 10% of what happens to you
20% of how you see it
And 70% of what you do about it

After my loss, there's really nothing else to get angry or sad about anymore.
|
|
We are our own worst enemy.
Quite beating yourself up, it's not the end of the world.
One day at a time.
Rely on yourself, constantly reaching for help will lower your self worth.
Drink green tea.
|
|
I don't know if anybody said this yet, but smoke a joint.
Lossen up. talk to us I guess, that can always help.
|
|
I tell my inner voice to shut the f*ck up every day lol
|

I like @JuneMoon's idea to think of 3 positive things after a shitty start to the day. Life is mostly luck. Don't get too full of yourself or too hard on yourself basis your circumstances. Try and be happy with where you in life but work hard, be nice and things will generally be better.

3-4 hrs massage helps...any massage helps
maybe a jerk-off session before bed if you didn't already get one or double it up

protest something , like the very existence of a gaseous cow that once was a dead fish

Don't make your bad day worse. Set yourself up for a better tomorrow. Deal with whatever mess you're in by being calm and objective. If you shoot your mouth off or act out, you're just digging yourself into a deeper hole.
Forget about assigning blame to yourself or others. If your attention is on blame, you won't be able to be objective and positive enough to sort things out and get on with it.
Make sure that you not dehydrated. Get seven or eight hours of sleep.
Lastly:
Let go of it. Learn the lesson and move on to the next thing.

take a deep cleansing breath
a shower to wash away your stress
think of all the things you GET to do vs. what you HAVE to do
be grateful for what you have vs. what you want or someone else has
trust that there is a reason things happen
remember this is only one moment in time, it will pass
be thankful that you are alive today, in good health and able bodied and you have opportunities

Air Fry something. It’s like a new beginning……

Op the result is you gave 100%, when you honestly give a 100% that alone is a gratifying result that will pay dividends by consistency, if you give 100% to your goals you will always succeed just by the percentage of your actions…so carry on your fine
