Offshore 9 in HB is a cool spot for a sunset drink with friends.
Also nearby, Pete's Mexican on 5th St, has a DJ & great 3 story view of the beach crowd.
I concur with others rec's on Bear Flag (gr8 taco Tuesday) & Modo Mio.
Took a date to Modo Mio. Go there during sunset & sit in their patio. I highly suggest their salmon or steak with veggies.
Care to join me sometime Miss Fiji, and watch the entire place see you walk in, & turn their heads/jaw drop in slo-mo?

Best hiking is Crystal Cove trails. You can get to the beach for nice morning/evening walks.
There's a low key brunch spot on the beach there... forgot the name.
Good Restaurants at PCH & Jamboree... Tommy Bahama' and Gulfstream.
Get to know people who own boats and are members at Balboa Yacht Club and Newport Harbor Yacht Club... any other 'yacht club' is fake.

That area looks really nice and so do you Fiji. And GBD isn't as much of an ass hat as I once thought, the dude knows a bunch of cool spots and travel locations.
