Is there any water in the river?
|
|
Havasu is always full or very close.
Parker is flowing as usual, if not higher a lot of days this Summer.

Actually it would nice to visit and camp out. Meet me in my tent. I will have whip and paddles ready.

OP, do you have jet ski, boat, or other lake toys? You will prolly attract lots of gals that way if you have water toys!

Went two weeks ago, water flowing thru the gorge and levels looked normal to me.
I don't know if lake Mead can keep the flow up forever though even being such a large reservoir.

I haven't been back since the Laughlin River Run was cancled a few years ago due to Covid19. I don't think I'm ever going again.

Back in the late 80's early 90's Havasu was so much fun and not as crowded as is now.
Jumping off the rock and crusing the small keys for milf's in bikinis laying out in there back yard.
With the occasional boob flash?
Now, too many asswipes that don't know how to drive a boat or jet ski or know the rules.

Yah, I also remember now on the summer big weekends in Copper Canyon local le brought in extra red US Coast Guard helicopters to help. Few times they would shoot water on the house and people just for fun.

Back in the 80s family would rent a houseboat on Lake Mojave which is the next lake up river from Havasu. We only did it a few times but it was fun.
A close friend has a house in Havasu and he invited me the weekend after the 4th, it was very quiet on the lake and river. Of course there was a lot less sights to see.
An trip years ago my son was on a covered round pull toy floating through the gorge with an oar, jack sparrow style. He was flashed a few times...
It is just hot there pulling in after midnight and temps still over 100F
