Might need to give a bit more info like is this a short term situation or long term situation? Where would the preferred location(s) be? Are you looking for a one bedroom or are roommates ok as long as you have your own private bath. As a landlord that is the information I would need before we talk about particulars.

Easy to rent in SD or OC for 200/day.. Do not go in the hood to rent as no one will go there lol. Better to rent high end and have high emd friends visit. Bet they will help you get extra days to stay.
