Valid point about Sandy Berger although it should be noted that he was prosecuted by the Republicans (Bush administration). The Republican House report on the Berger incident concluded:
"His deliberate calculating action to remove highly classified documents compromised the national security of this country in more ways than one". So, if Trump is guilty of the same type of violation, he should be given a free pass like Berger? When are we going to hold people responsible for their actions and stop making excuses because of what may have happened to other folks.

Sandy Berger - He should have received a jail sentence but John Ashcroft's Justice Department decided to cut a sweetheart deal. Dems had nothing to do with the case. Ashcroft was a diehard conservative Republican.
Hillary Clinton - She probably should have been charged but Comey made the decision (even though it wasn't his call) not to pursue. Comey is a sanctimonious jerk but there is not a shred of evidence he is corrupt or was politically influenced. His handling of the Clinton case probably gave the 2016 election to Trump and forever poisoned his relationship with the Dems.
Daniel Ellsberg - after the judge found out that Nixon's stooges broke into Ellsberg's shrinks office and stole his health records and also planted illegal wiretaps he told the government to fuck off and threw out the case.
Donald Trump - if Trump had highly classified National Security documents at Mar-O-Lago and was in the process of destroying the documents (which is probably what was happening) the Justice Dept/FBI would be derelict if they didn't raid the place.

The feds didn't toss the place up, going in like gangbusters, etc. They had a tip that even though the Archives got 15 boxes returned from Trump that should have never left the White House per the Presidential Records Act (that we put in place after Nixon, and President Trump strengthened due to what Hilary Clinton had been investigated for), that there were still a lot of records, including National Security related classified records, that Trump was still holding on to - a tip that included specific location information, etc. The Secret Service was given a heads up ahead of time (because they had to let the FBI in) though not given a lot of details, just that a search warrant was being exercised. Trump lawyers were also there. They FBI went there at 10am, it wasn't some pre-dawn no-knock raid - and wanted to do it when Trump wasn't around as a way to keep it from being a spectacle, and to keep Trump from using the visual to grandstand. They tried to keep it fairly mundane and quie as these things go. But when MAGAworld got wind...all the FBI's plans to keep it mellow went out the window. The Fox News brigade went into outrage mode and Trump's supporters immediately attacked the FBI, calling it an atrocious miscarriage of justice. So here we are. After the FBI goes through the material and figures out if there's real wrongdoing or not going on, then we'll find out what was taken, etc. But the FBI does this all the time. It's just not usually a former president with a large, loyal, vocal following being investigated though. If Trump did nothing wrong and these are just newspaper clippings like Lara Trump, etc. say, than he's got nothing to worry about. Don't get yer panties in a bunch. Investigations happen all the time, and often lead nowhere. And Trump is especially slippery, and adept at legally maneuvering until everyone grows tired and moves on - that's if there's any stomach to even charge a former president even if he looks very guilty. I think the National Archives just want the records to be where they're supposed to be and not out in the wild. I hope we do find out what was in those boxes, whether it be nuclear secrets or newspaper clippings.
