Nixon got crucified and essentially forced out of office, but 100 years after his death he will be known as the president that opened up China. And if communism ever fails in China he will probably get some retroactive credit for it.
I think that Pence will be somewhat similar. His legacy will be that he single-handedly stood up for the constitution instead of his party. But for now, he is one of the most hated men in America.

I suspect there is more to be told in what happened around him on Jan 6. The Secret Service played a role but the texts were destroyed so we will never know unless Pence writes his memoirs. Strange the Jan 6 committee did not subpoena him. Rumors are he may have been the subject of some type of botched kidnap
