Find the Chart the LA Times posted in 1992. About it's average rain fall amounts going back to 1900.
This prediction is no surprise to me as every 30-33 years LA gets 30-33 inches of rain with a 18-20 inch spike in between. We had that spike a couple of years ago.
Well it's been 30 years now so we are dew.

That's just a stupid statement.
Carl Sagan along with Jim Hansen & Roger Ravel were writing papers on the 'Greenhouse effect' over 40 years ago in the 80's.
All you have to do is look at Venus - which is the same size as the Earth has the same surface gravity and whose atmosphere went from one that, while it might not have been clement to one that turned into a total hell because of greenhouse gases.
In fact Sagan wrote his PhD thesis on the Greenhouse effect that occurred on Venus.
Watch the 4th episode of the original Cosmos titled 'Heaven & Hell' - you might learn something.
You can deny climate change all you want, which you and other people do because it's going to inconvenience your life and/or pocket book - which is a stupid & short sighted reason, but it IS happening and if man, as the perpetrators of it, don't reverse its course some form of Venus is what the planet is heading towards.

Whether you believe that climate change is anthropomorphic or not is the first question.

Then, next question is, what do we do about it?
I would posit that the things we're doing IN THIS COUNTRY right now are both STUPID and COUNTER-PRODUCTIVE.
The list of misteps (while the Chicoms and Dot Injuns proceed building coal power plants) is far too long to post here but just start with EV's. There are 1.4 billion vehicles in the world and right now 16.5 million EV's (1`% of that total). You're a complete slobbering idiot if you think we'll be replacing the one with the other any time in the next 50 years and let's not mention the fact that 1 in 5 go back to gas from EV. This latest garbage called the "Inflation Reduction Act"  nothing but a gift to the Chicoms you morons and more subsidies to "green bullshit" that won't work (remember Solyndra?)
This is nowhere close to rocket science, fuck whoever you are and your religious belief that we're all doomed unless we destroy our economy and the lives of billions of people by following your solution to the problem. It's FAR cheaper and environmentally safer to create a trading platform for "Carbon Pricing" and let the marketplace of billions of producers/consumers figure it out.

I have experienced climate change in my lifetime.
More rain happened here and when I was abroad.
One of my favorite hide away islands in the Philippines was been washed away, and it broke my heart to turn away good friends in Fiji when rising tide and too hot weather washed away their farm before COVID.

Unless China, India and other countries get involved in reducing their greenhouse gas emissions in won't matter what the US does.
Africa's biggest source of electricity is from coal fired electrical plants. While the residue from nuclear power is a problem it is still a great source that doesn't create greenhouse emissions

That paper actually cites Sagan's Venus paper and Hansen's 1988 paper as well as a couple of papers from Ravel.

Funny, when it comes to climate change it's a proven science. But when it comes to the fact that a man can be a woman and a woman can be a man these same people don't care about science. They care about feelings. Today I identify as a 49 year old black woman. Tomorrow I'm thinking about identifying as a 28-year-old Latino. As for Thursday I haven't made up my mind yet

I’m February China inked a deal with Russia to buy 100 Million tons of coal over the next 30 years
China will build hundreds of new coal fired electrical generation plants to burn that coal
With little or no pollution safeguards
Also in February India inked a deal to buy 40 Million tons of coal from Russia
The planet will warm
And there is nothing the US or West can do about it
