Is this true?
Damn, if it is I guess I'm going to have to register in texas. Didn't think I'd ever have to do that.

Tulsi is a patriot and a warrior. Pretty dam smart too.

if you can...you should be registering in texas regardless
california is lost cause
i don't know she's running...just want a clean thread to kick her big ass legs
she has a few years to up her stock
|
|
Me registering in texas would be a waste - there's absolutely no one I'd vote for in texas it's too much of a 'good ol boys' state.
Course I wasn't registered in California either - I've never voted in any election as there's never been a candidate that I thought was worth my vote.
Till I attended a thing where Tulsi gave a speech, that is. Even then I had to do some research but after that I was in.
She does have pretty big legs, Dumbo would be proud of them.
Tulsi 2024!!!

i think DeSantis upped his stock big time, being a governor. you don't think he upped his stock? de was
the dude from calif? the dems like him...that's all that matters there...they really don't have anybody at the moment
here's a little wiki about her
backing bernie
|
|
Just saw the other response:
I like DeSantis and he'd definitely be my 2nd choice.
My point was that just cause you've been a governor doesn't mean you'll be a good pres or even decent. But I'm sure you got that.
As far as texas goes the choices are far left idiots or far right bible belters. None of them would I vote for in a million years.

she sucks
always did. didn't guy her act when from early onset.
very surprising she gave up guarantee seat in congress for life just so she can get 15 mins of fame. she is still very young.
good luck the podcast... or whatever she is doing today.
|

governor? something?
DeSantis was a nobody but carried a "tad" more weight than tulsi while in the house
now? not even close
education? don't think there's a comparison
military? not quite sure there is one here either
sometimes i see things that disqualify someone immediately. NO PUSSY GRABBING is not one of em, but backing bernie?
probably will NEVER ever get my vote
That does not mean i won't keep reading the shit you link up...people can change
i have not looked at any of the stances on shit either...just assume they are not the same as hers
|
|
looked at ron's stances on things(above)...china, globalization, immigration, safety in our streets
without looking, probably might be my bag of chips
|
|
The perfect scenario, for me at least, would be a Tulsi/Ron ticket.
Even if it was reversed I'd be voting in my first election.

^Both of these candidates are God-awful. DeSantis rode the populist wave in COVID, but really benefitted from a state that without south Florida would have simply been another Tennessee -- low average population densities in cities per square mile. So he could be cavalier Ron with COVID. Secondly, he is no Reagan, coming up with positive, constructive conservative ideas that aren't simply active ideological crusades against modern progressivism. Tulsi is worse and seems to have no core to her beliefs system except to be populist. She started out as a very liberal Democrat attacking establishment Republicans, and now has moved on to being a heretic of the Democratic establishment attacking them.
Not surprised you never voted in an election, AF. Your very undeserved sense of superiority at work.

of course the whole bernie thing

Gee the peanut gallery finally shows up.
Glad you could make it nr. Speak your drivel, there must be at least one who wants to hear it.
But then I could be wrong.

'of course the whole bernie thing'
Yeah. Well, I just figure - who else was she going to throw her support to? hillary?
There's no way that she could support clinton who's as bad as bush lite and she's called her out on it a few times.

Hanging up his cape cause it's hard super-heroing when you're 81.

Have you ever listened to an interview with Bernie? Not a 5 -10 minute interview but an hour or 2?
If not I'd urge you to listen to his interview with Joe Rogan, I'm not trying to change your mind but you'll at least get better sense of him and maybe learn a bit more then what the attack ads say.
I think it's what every voter should do - learn as much as you can about the people that are asking to be put in that position, BEFORE pulling the lever. Not just the people in your party but all of them, cause one of them's going to win and people should know who's going to be their rep, senator or pres and where they actually stand on things

I don't know enough about Tulsi yet, I haven't been following her. I do like her creds though. I will be watching her closely for the next couple of years to see if her views are boiler plate Republican (aka, politics as usual) or if she shows some independence and backbone to establish her own platform. We definitely need some fresh thinking in D.C., because what is happening there now is killing us!
|
|
Isn't Tulsi Gabbard a democratic
|
|
See, that's how much I know (or don't) about her. But she has some impressive creds. And it won't matter at this point for me, I'm tired of being the Republican party's plough horse.

I heard Tulsi was a Russian operative. You know all those Russia stories are indisputable.
This is sarcasm.

Should I vote for Trump 2024. Tough decision. Draft dodger, great business man lol, how many bankruptcies? His idols are all dictators, racist who is supported by every hate group in America. Egomaniac who listens to no one. Oh yeah Fox News said to vote for him. And fox advises him on all decision. This is a really really really tough decision if I was a follower and cannot think for myself. Oh wait I do have a brain and have some common sense. Oh wait I can use clorox to cleanse my body of covid, are maybe it will just disappear like magic. What am I missing hear, a five year old would not vote for this idiot. Trump 2024. I wonder which lap dog will be his running mate.
|
|
^ psssst topic is Tulsi 2024
|
|
yep...that frigging comes out of left field...pretty sure most will take all that into consideration when they vote
|
|
@rich69
It's pretty simple.
Vote for whoever the GOP nominee is.
If you swing to the other side you're buying in to wasteful climate alarmism, wide open borders which put national security at risk, and continued expansion of govt and taxation.
Most important is that the other side hates this country, hates the bill of rights and wants to Federalize everything including elections.
Hope that helps you sort out priorities.
|
|
And it doesnt matter WHO the other side puts in the office. You're gonna get shit.
This is why Tulsi and others have departed the Democrat party.
|
|
'Vote for whoever the GOP nominee is.'
THAT right there, I believe, is the problem - voting for party instead of the person.
For some reason there's this idea from both dems and repubs that the other is evil but 'their side' is righteous.
News flash there's absolutely NO difference between pelosi, schumer, manchin or durbin and mcconnell, graham, jordan or rubio - they're all in it for themselves and what they can get and don't give a shit about the people they're supposed to be working for.
There are dems that actually want secure borders, fair tax system where EVERYONE pays a fair share, growth in the middle class etcetc. Don't actually hear about them unless they're attacked by their own or the right. Or unless you actually do some research.
Then there are repubs that want to lesson freedom by making people follow their ideology, only there to increase their personal wealth & power and use it as a stepping stone to the next rung up the ladder.
When all you're doing is voting party you get the scum that's currently infesting washington.
Insanity - Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.
Atticus Finch
|
|
The difference is the general party objectives.
Do you want big govt with higher taxes ( which Democrats routinely deliver despite campaign promises) or do you want limited federal govt and state sovereignty.
|
|
Since when has the repub party been about limited government? At one time yes that was the party line. Now, not so much. Lower taxes? At one time yeah. Now, not so much - unless you're a major corporation.
Both parties are slaves to corporate america. Both parties are tied to wall street. Both parties are tied to foreign governments - mcconnell's got a sweet deal with china and a great super pac.
There's literally no difference between the 2 other then their names, and everything that the dems do now a days the repubs do as well.
BUT there are some in both parties that still hold the original party values, they even over lap - it's just that the way each wants to get to that place take a different path but have the same goal.
The hard part is finding them and putting them in to positions where they'll do the most good because both the rnc and dnc don't want them in those positions or to support them in any way. They only tolerate them because they can't get rid of them, a perfect example of it is Tulsi.
As long as people vote strictly for party instead of voting for the person nothing will change and it's insane to think things will.
It's how you get these fucking idiots sticking around for 40 years even when they're cognitive abilities have deteriorated to the point that they can't even form a sentence anymore - see feinstien and/or hatch.
Atticus Finch
|
|
I totally agree about the 'sticking around for 40 years' part.
I totally agree with Tulsi's position that the biggest threat to Democracy is the massive administrative state in Washington and how its tied to the MSM.
It needs to be cleaned up. It will take someone capable of mean tweets and willingness to say "you're fired".
Anyone who campaigns on that and actually gets elected will get the same treatment as the Orange Boogeyman. It's a given.
|
|
My problem with trump is that he campaigned on it but never followed through with it.
'Drain the swamp' - nothing
'Get us out of Afghanistan' - nope
'Gets us out of NATO' - again nothing. Granted I don't think getting us completely out would be good but how about letting the rest of the countries they actually have to pay for their defense! Go in and tell them we're reducing our contribution by 6%/year for the next 4 years you guys figure out how you're going to make it up. Don't ask - TELL. Use the savings for infrastructure & education & to pay down the debt. If you ask of course they're going to say no. We've been asking germany for years to increase their contribution and they keep saying 'Nah, we're good.'
He campaigned on a lot but didn't do anything he campaigned on or even tried to do it.
Atticus Finch
|
|
Trump not only told the NATO allies they needed to pay their share and America might pull out, but also clearly told them of the conflict of interest of them buying oil from Putin.
Afghanistan... He did set up a timeline with strict conditions that Taliban not attack Afghan Army forces. Joe comes in, Taliban violate the conditions and take over, Joe doesnt do anything to hold the Talban to the deal and we know how it all ended.
Drain the swamp?... he was obstructed from day 1 with fake Russia Gate BS but at least he fired Comey which in hindsight was just the tip of the iceberg.
Next President needs to go in with a battle Axe and start gutting stuff.
|
|
Nato - True but he never followed through. Don't think you can just tell them to pay their fair share you have to tell them - 'We ARE dropping our rate on this date you guys figure it out from there.'
Afghanistan - They NEVER met any of those conditions though and he never forced them to. Course they probably never were cause they knew we wanted out. But announcing a date was a mistake.
Course then joe completely fucked it up.
Drain the swamp - true. Can thank hillary and msm for that.
'Next President needs to go in with a battle Axe and start gutting stuff.'
True. They can start with the defense budget - It's 10x's+ what russia's is and the waste is astronomical! Problem is that con-gress thinks it's a jobs bill. But should be cut at least 15%, I'd actually like to see a 20 - 25% cut but I'll take what I could get. Between that and cutting NATO allocation, infrastructure could be accomplished in 5 years with money to spare.
Atticus Finch

Tulsi has the right mindset.
Here are her recent comments that show she is far from the Progressive Democrat base.
"The greatest threat to our democracy is not Trump voters or parents protesting at school board meetings, but the permanent Washington elite which has weaponized the govt and teamed up with corporate media to intimidate and silence those who dare to disagree with them."
|
|
Yeah, I love that girl - She doesn't care about the dnc talking points, has a ton of common sense, willing to talk before throwing bullets & just says what she thinks.
It's why I'd support her.
Atticus Finch
|
|
Plus I actually think she could bring the country together, or at least get us back to the point where MAYBE we can see that repubs and dems aren't the enemy - just people with a different pov but still want the best for the country and to live their lives as best they can. Maybe then we can dial down the rhetoric and argue coherently rather then screaming at each other. Might even get a couple to listen to each others pov.
Although I'd really like to limit the influence of the far left and far right.
Atticus Finch
|
|
^ I agree with all of that.
|
|
Atticus....From 2016 to 2020, the other NATO countries increased their defense spending by $50 billion.
Six additional NATO countries are now above the 2% requirement.
Trump never wanted to get out of NATO, It was a threat to get them to pay more. Guess it worked.
