This affidavit shows there was no nuclear documents or even criminal intent.
Based on interaction earlier between NARA and Trump team it comes down to documents still having "classified" markings that Trump possessed that he has executive privilege to declassify when he left office. BIG FUCKING DEAL
So on the NARA referral alone the the FBI decides to open a criminal investigation. This is of course the same group that spied on Trump, and knew the Steele Dossier was fake... but hey they have a job to do.
Garland should have just issued a Subpoena for anything else. Issuing a broad search warrant was extensive unconstitutional overreach. Garland even said in his address that "less invasive means are preferred ".
Then there's the Obama donor judge who signed off on this thing. He had already recused himself two months ago on another Trump related case and should have done the same here.
He signs off on a warrant that clearly violates 4th Amendment with totally weak cause.
This thing is going to be a mess for the DOJ to try and turn into a case in a real court. All they have here is another high profile circus act like the Jan 6th committee for the media to squak about until midterms.
