Do you feel that is a reasonable assumption? Do you think Too Secret folders meant to house documents that need to be controlled and accounted for at all times would be allowed to be sitting around empty so that people wonder where the contents were? Come on. Make reasonable, logical assumptions rather than give every weak benefit of the doubt simply to protect your position or argument.

The fact they published the photo to the public let’s you know that is not classified information because the FBI agents involved would be in prison if it was.

It is unreasonable to believe that empty folders with the words TOP SECRET written o. Them didn’t have documents that should be in them. Once the documents are destroyed, it is reasonable to assume that the folders would also be destroyed and not allowed to be sitting around for people to wonder what happened to the contents. That is a logical assumption.
Also logical is that Trump must have had a reason to take the documents in the first place and then lie about returning them more than once. This has been an 18 month process at this point and the DOJ/FBI had enough. This is our national security, not fun and games.
As for whether the documents were sold to Russia, Saudi Arabia, etc., we don’t know the truth at this point. But the document themselves would shed some light on this. If they were the identities of our spies in Russia or Eastern Europe, it won’t be difficult for the CIA to trace if that happened. Or if the Saudis suddenly start looking for plutonium, or the dozens of other things that could result from this, I’m sure our government will find out about it.
But as you said, we have no idea at this point. But the simple fact that Trump and his minions lied about it is already the crime of obstruction of justice.
Just listen to what Bill Barr said today about Trump and the Mar a Lago fiasco.

Whether Trump had intent to sell nuke to others or not is really not important anymore. There is no way to prove that unless you got concrete evidence to support that intent and action.
Trump fucked up. There is a mandatory jail sentence for this particular crime he had committed. Even if he had proxy or attorneys won't matter as he, the President had to authorize the taking of these classified files to this PRIVATE premise. And he can't declassify them without the proper protocol while he was still in office as the President. Claiming fake election doesn't give him the right to claim anything right now.
That's why Trump sounds so desperate as him winning is the only way to stay out of jail. But he will also be Biden's age so do we really want another senile old fool in office to lead us nowhere?
I think the libs are only waiting until the final blow right before the mid-term election to create maximum effects. No chance Trump comes out of this unscathed.
Republicans need to rally under DeSantis and give him all supports as the Libs are moving quickly against DeSantis even at the State level. We need young and decisive leader for the next 8 years. Not a 4 year ran where policies get overturned and nothing substantial gets done.
If DeSantis is the candidate, republicans will win and we can turn this ship around. If Trump gets the nomination, there is no question all Libs, moderates and non-party voters will come together and defeat Trump.
We don't need another 4 years of this shit. Its been 6 fucking years of disaster. Enough already.

Right after the FBI search and seizure at Mar-a-Lago, I stated that if any more classified files or information was missing that every one in Trump's inner circle could expect a search warrant (eg. Raid) to be forthcoming. And I'm sure that the FBI is checking every folder and document for fingerprints or even DNA. If it is found that someone without the proper clearance handled any of these files or documents, they will surely go to prison. And that will also feed into the investigation on Trump because he was probably the only one who could given it to them.
Make no mistake, this is almost as bad as it gets. But just like HRC, Trump will probably NOT be charged, unless - the fingerprints of a Russian or foreign intelligence operative are found on any of those documents - then it will be as bad as it gets (but one would think that they would be smart enough to avoid putting their prints on a classified file/document). Just wondering if the "he had the ultimate authority to declassify anything" would still be used as an excuse!
Just stop and think for a minute all the evidence that has to be gathered and analyzed here. What would you say if the fingerprints of a secretary were found on the back side of every document in a file with the prints in almost the same position on every document - she was probably copying them! Thumb print on the first page only and the other flour finger's prints only on the backside of the last document? - She used the auto-feed function! If you think this is a shit storm now, just wait a little bit.
The references to nuclear secrets in these discussions is immature at this point, and only speculation. However, if classified information were copied and are now missing, the only thing "nuclear" you can count on is the DOJ/FBI response! It is not going to be pretty!
