I had another round of the rona as well, probably got it on NYE.
it was mild case compared to what I had back in june.
coughing, fatigue, body ache, light night sweats, headaches, breathing hard/heavy, no fever.
but the constant horrible taste in my mouth- and this time it seemed like my sense of smell was stronger than normal but everything smelled bad.
took about a week to get over the main part.
no idea which variation it was, guessing omicron.
I am twice vaxxed, no booster.
The disease is not going away for a long long time and is gonna keep fucking with us.

I have a question.....who's bright idea was it to give hospitals more money for Covid deaths?
I mean how do we know who really is a covid death and lets say a gunshot or heart attack? Apparently, these days that is the only cause of death. How can the numbers be trusted if there is a financial gain if one specific box is checked? Good old GREED is the NUMBER 1 issue and it will destroy us
Other than that how the hell is everyone. I sure am missing AZ! No mask, school in session, folks are happy and healthy......No mandate, no mask, no problems at least not in neck of the woods. I love my CA peeps but Saturday can't come soon enough

Obviously the government is diverting more money to hospitals hit harder by COVID than ones that are not. But they are not giving more money per death count. This is a lie pushed by conservative media.
Hospitals in stress need more equipment, pay for staff, and shit load of other stuff.

For those who may not understand the importance of that revelation is simply that 75% of those with Covid-19 who end up in the hospital and/or worse, die, were very sick with multiple other illnesses. Therefore your risk level goes way down for those who are otherwise healthy and especially for healthy young people. The statistics have shown that a young person getting the regular flu are at least 5 times more likely to be hospitalized and/or die from the flu then from Covid-19
Finally, virtually everyone admitted to the hospital are being tested for Covid-19, even those who are totally asymptomatic.
I too have read that hospitals have been greatly monetarily incentivized to report Covid-19 as the primary reason for being hospitalized or dying for anyone who tested positive for Covid-19 even for many who came to the hospital with serious and life threatening ailments having very little or nothing to do with Covid-19.
Please forgive me for interjecting medical data and the facts therefrom to this discussion.

The number of people I know who have gotten sick is running higher than at any time since this started. And if people had paid attention to the people who know what they're talking about, we might not be in the deep shit again.
It is also on the CDC that it downplayed the chances of someone who had the vaccine getting very ill when it should have been the second line in the story. Yes, the vaccine works and will keep people from dying. But, this is a strong virus that will make people since even if they gotten their shots.
My doctor's office had to lockdown last week when one of its high-risk patients tested positive a day after a routine visit. My doc is careful. He made sure I got the moderna shot because pfizer's tests showed less effectiveness with time. I got my booster last month and he said there would be another booster available in May/June because this virus is a bad MOFO.
FYI, China has put Wu Han, the site of the original outbreak, back on lockdown because of a new surge. China did not administer boosters to as many people as the U.S. Plus, if you look through the weeds of legit news reports from Russia, you'll find reports of widespread sickness and death.

Still, 70 million people not vaccinated. There is no garrentee COVID-19 will just go away or mutate into something we can manage. We've past that point a long time ago. The only way for COVID-19 to survive is replication. The problem we face is vaccinated people being continually exposed to
COVID-19. Eventually, a mutation can evade vaccinated people. Like Omicron. When you take antibiotics they always tell you to finish the whole course. Why..? If you allow the virus to hang around it can reinfect or the virus can become resistant. Because of mRNA vaccine we haven't been wiped out. Yet.
