Our response should be:
1. Close all the schools;
2. Close all restaurants, make them take out only;
3. Require masks be worn at all time outside the home;
4. Create a panic in the People so that they make a run on the toilet paper at Costco;
5. Increase taxes (always government's response to a crisis);
6. Allow more illegal aliens into the country without COVID tests or VAX. Of course, they are here to
do the jobs Americans won't do...and of course they pay their taxes;
7. Give a majority of government workers leave of absence with pay until further notice;
8. Create another trillion dollar stimulus package;
9. Institute mail in voting for the mid term elections
10.Clamp down on free speech and ban free thought;
11. Vaccinations. Suspend all Constitutionally protected exemptions and demand that all people get vaccinated to - work - attend public events - attend school - get medical care - enter government buildings - shop for groceries - receive government benefits - renew a drivers license - obtain or renew a professional license; and
12. Monthly booster shots: All listed in #11.
That will fix everything and take care of COVID for sure.

I'm just tired of all the "news" on this subject. We aren't inching towards extinction as some alarmist accounts tied to make us think in the beginning. Each variant has not been probably worse than the last as far as mortality (not that I've seen anyway). And the discovery of a new variant is hyped up to be some earth shattering event that really is barely noticeable by the general population.
My advice ... bigger better gloom than this... you won't get much of a reaction with yet Even more Covid news.
