49ers fan in coma after apparent beating outside SoFi Stadium.

Police are investigating the apparent beating of a San Francisco 49ers fan found severely injured in the parking lot of SoFi Stadium during Sunday's NFC championship game against the Rams.

Daniel Luna, a restaurant owner from Oakland, remains hospitalized at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in what Inglewood police said was a medically induced coma.

Luna, 40, was discovered on the ground by Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics in the stadium's Lot L about 4 p.m., half an hour into the Rams-49ers contest, said Inglewood Police Lt. Geoffrey Meeks. Luna was wearing a San Francisco jersey and black pants, Meeks said.

Emergency room staff at Harbor-UCLA noted wounds suggesting Luna had been attacked and contacted Inglewood police later that night.

Just like that guy at the Dodgers game a few years back. Was wearing a SF Giants jersey and is now in a wheelchair for life.

There are always drunken belligerent people at football games. It is amplified times ten for a game like the NFC championship.

Some of you might remember when the Raiders played at the Coliseum back in 82 - 94 ...

1990 --- Steelers fan severely beaten just for wearing a Steelers jersey to the game...

Nothing new, and has transcended to the Dodgers and Rams --- albeit a very small percentage of their fans, but the stigma will stick for years and will be hard to overcome...

Proposed Solution :

Mirror the NYC Police policies and procedures on policing large crowds ...

Have you noticed that you can't go anywhere in NYC without seeing lots of Police Officers --- they are everywhere and especially in Manhattan... Bottomline, that's what it takes to keep the masses safe...

Nobody gets their ass beat indiscriminately. He had to be barking back.

Have seen this a ton of times in person. People dont throw punches at people because they are wearing different jersey.

It all starts with smack talking that leads to arguments and then punches are thrown.

You are totally safe at a game in LA. Dont believe the crap.

I have been to dozens of Raider games in Oakland, LA, San Diego.

We always have a Great time with rival fans.
But if you want to start shit, there is plenty to
go around.

Seriously! Come on everybody, its just a game. They aren't playing for our freedom, or for landrights or anything. This irritates me because I was stabbed at a Kings hockey game for wearing an opposing jersey. We should be bigger than this.

So the dude in coma actually started the fight. According to security footage.

I will say again… if you keep to yourself, you will be fine going to a game in LA.

A friend told me about when he started working securety at Dodger stadium. He was working with his trainer. Two guys started fighting so he started down to break them up but his trainer told him to wait. He said wait until they are tired then the guy winning will be easier to control and the guy loosing will be glad you saved his ass.

Police arrested Bryan Alexis Rossel Cifuentes, 33, on suspicion of felony assault with great bodily injury for the Sunday afternoon attack on Daniel Luna, an Oakland chef and 49ers fan, Inglewood Mayor James T. Butts said at a news conference.

Cifuentes allegedly punched Luna in the face, causing him to fall and strike his head, according to authorities. Luna had allegedly first pushed Cifuentes from behind.

Cifuentes made bail early Friday morning and was released from custody on $30,000.

Inglewood Mayor James T. Butts said it appeared from surveillance video that Luna may have been the aggressor in the altercation.
