Exiting Afgan was the right thing to do and something that should have done a long time ago.
Remember it was Trump that made the deal to exit Afgan with the Taliban. Aside from meeting with the fucking Taliban, it was actually Trump's best move of his presidency.
Pulling out was always going to be difficult. Perhaps nobody ever believed Biden would actually follow through with exiting. You just had to rip off the band-aid and move on. Was not pretty but it was long overdue to pull of the disastrous war.

Agree. The debt & inflation will never to handled seriously. Its a boogie man talking point by the right but they are worse at dealing with situation cause they don't want to ever pay taxes to fund anything. About dealing with Russia - obviously there needs to be creative ideas with sanctions. Retaliation with force is not an option. Nobody wants war in the USA and Putin doesn't fear it.
Sanctions that will cripple his oligarch friends may work. They are the ones that really run the country so if they not happy, they not happy with Putin either. In fact there are reports they not really exciting about this invasion.
Do not forget that Biden has a personal stake in the Ukraine. He helped the US support and engineer a coup in the Ukraine in 2014 which overthrew the democratically elected President which also helped to unleash Nazi and Neo Nazi forces that are at play today on behalf of the Ukraine. Trump was impeached for questioning Bidens corruption there. Biden actually had a real hand and influence in Ukraine politics. Remember how he got a prosecutor fired. Why do you think Hunter Biden got a $50,000 a month job at Burisma? The plot thickens.

I’m hoping that all of his years in the Senate and hearing how his predecessors dealt with Russia have given his well earned wisdom and he won’t fuck up again. But this sitting on the fence has got to stop, as Putin is not flinching after sanctions.

Biden f-up on Afghanistan withdrawal. Sure Trump made the decision to pull out but Biden, as new President, could have dictated or renegotiated/set terms and timeline for US withdrawal. Heck, we ve been In Afghanistan for 20 years and we can’t stay an extra 6 months or so in order to safely evacuate our people and local allies, and return our military equipment and sensitive military files. That’s some weak sauce.
As for sanctions, that’s just PR talk for western world to morally appease the masses into thinking it’s did something against Putin but Trump said it best when he praised, “Putin is taking over a country for $2 worth of sanctions…” Whatever sanctions we put on Putin, Putin knows it’s not forever .
Look at what happened to Crimea when Russia invaded it and annexed it under Obama’s watch in 2014. Where are those sanctions now? Putin is simply reusing the same playbook on taking over Ukraine because he knows he will get away with it. That’s the scary part whereby he can rinse and repeat.
If the US and it’s European partners can’t stop an authoritative regime from expanding in our European neighbors’ backyards where our NATO partners have a more vested stake, then I fear Taiwan will be ripe for the picking by China next. The difference is that Europe (being far away) is less vested in Taiwan but US is Taiwan’s primary military supporter. I have a feeling that China and Russia have already agreed to supporting each other’s expansion ambitions.
It’s shocking to witness an invasion unfold with our own eyes and see the helpless desperation of Ukrainians.
