will hopefully be one of the things that spur these guys on
ukrainians are inflicting a little damage to the russians...planes are going down, tanks and armored veh. getting destroyed...not sure of actual numbers being thrown around, but if true...ukraine would take the trade
not going to be enough...interesting to see the limitations going on
i'm sure putin is holding back his shock and awe as to keep most of the infrastructure intact and usable
they can't seem to fight at night...that's pretty interesting

Yes, the obvious outcome is that Ukraine falls. But then what? Putin intimated that Poland and Romania should also be part of Russia/USSR again. I don’t think the US and Europe would ever allow that to happen. So this can get really ugly and World War III starts if Putin really loses it.
But will the Russian people allow that to happen? Russians and Ukrainians are essentially the same people. Taking over a country unprovoked that will result in Russian and Ukrainian casualties is political suicide, even for a dictator.
This might be the end of Putin. People from within may try to oust or assassinate him, or he will back off disgraced. Either way, Putin is now being perceived as having lost his mind. His power will likely diminish.

There are a number of mistakes I think the U.S. has made regarding the Ukraine. One relates to countering propaganda.
I can remember when we used to have Radio Free Europe where The U.S. used to broadcast actual news into the Soviet Union and her satellite countries. I don't understand why we are not doing the same thing now with Radio, TV and Internet. This would tend to help counteract the propaganda being spread in Russia by Putin. Most of the cable networks in the U.S. have a Russian propaganda channel that parrots whatever Putin says. Seems like turnabout is fair play.

If NATO is ever going to be legitimized, now is the time for Germany and all of the other countries who were not spending 2% GDP on their defense, to step up and support and replenish Ukraine, as well as start rehearsals for protecting Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania!
