Funny, haven't joined in years, despite every opportunity to do so.

I believe all the old ideas went out the window 5 days ago as the EU rallies to support Ukraine.

EU is smart enough to know, that their buffer zone from Putin is Ukraine, and that they need to support Ukraine or Putin will be at their doorstep very soon! Putin would love to take over Germany. East Germany was his KGB post.

Having traveled in the early 1990's all through Europe one of the coll things was collecting coins from different countries. bummer is now it mostly the Euro's. A bit boring. Okay not exactly collecting it is unsure how much the coins were worth and it was easier to pay in bills and get change back.

Finland and Sweden too! Norway is already in. I'd love to see Uzbekistan, Georgia and Armenia aligned with NATO too. Just humiliate Putin!

With Sweden's and Finland's proximity to Russia, they're applications are already into NATO!

they have already been acting like nato members...probably sending more aid to ukraine than some of the other actual members
no need to poke putin in the eye anymore at this point, unless it progresses to bigger war
they pretty much seem like defacto members now and would be protected as such
besides the killing and horror going on...sweden and finland arm services must be feeling a TAD better seeing the shit show going on...albeit, one hand behind the back type shit
