How stupid can he be? Does he not know that Russia has been saying since FOREVER that UKR is not allowed to join NATO? That's why UKR is not a NATO member since 1991. Couple with the fact that Trump abandoned the missile treaty with Russia giving legitimate rise to fear of a short and medium range nuclear missile strike straight from UKRAINE if they were allowed to join NATO.
The West, including US and all EU states know the consequences of this. Only this dumb fuck comedian didn't know his limits and impossibility, and now pissed off Putin.
Zelenskiy put 40 million Ukrainian's lives at risk in 2019 and now he put his whole nation into ruin.
As a leader, your primary job is to protect your citizens' lives and your sovereignty. He doubled down and put them at risk knowing who your enemy and neighbor is. Its like he's a ship captain staring at a huge iceberg and sail right towards it hoping the iceberg would melt in time. And when the ship capsized, he stayed behind acting tough for the time being and everyone calls him a hero.
