It's funny how California has the highest electric costs in the nation.
Even so, California, pending on year imports somewhere between 1/4 to nearly 1/3 of our annual energy consumption - primarily from the pac northwest.
Electricity is a funny thing, although energy storage is a growing field, it's not (yet) commercially viable to store energy the state needs.
As cool as they are, when I see the Teslas driving around, I laugh when I see "zero emissions" stickers, um, no, "remote" emissions is more like it - those Tesla burn coal from Oregon & Washington.
