She said I'll turn you on sonny to something strong
play the song with the funky break

Having invested in the entertainment industry and helped direct millions of dollars for movie projects and up and coming artists, I can tell you that it is the people whom manage and ”handle” the talent that guide media. Some artists are lucky to get a break, luckier to make it last, even luckier to get control over their art at that level. It’s a struggle and you boo-hoping them is a disrespect of all those who bust their ass to try to get to that level, and a show of ignorance.

@sherkahn
🤥🤥🙄..I simply stated that artists MUST *read* contracts
BEFORE they sign✍🏽 away! I understand that being a music🎶
artist with a 💿 record deal is thee chance of a lifetime, but it’s NOT
worth it if you don’t own the rights to your own music🎶 + you end up
broke after many years of living a dream! And that’s exactly what happens
in thee end for these artists. BUT it’s their own fault. There’s no elevator on
the path to riches💰 -&- fame🤩 they have to take the stairs like everyone
else, put in the blood🩸 sweat😥 and tears😭 to make their dreams come true +
by not being desperate and signing their rights away or YES! They are to blame
for allowing a record label to cheat them and enslave them!
🧏🏽♀️: That’s just the TRUTH @sherkahn.. deal with it! 🤦🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️

But it’s our fault if we have shady + sketchy “managers/Daddy’s” amirite?!
Y’all don’t want me to blame the music🎶 artists for
their crappy 💿record deals because it’s a “Once in a Lifetime”
opportunity for them BUT the ladies here on this site are at fault for
allowing a loser to waste their youth -&- CON them out of their
hard earned $$$??🤔
How does that make any sense???

A real good interview about record labels trying to sign an artist and how they handled is is Jewel on the Joe Rogan podcast. That woman turned down the millions when she was just months recovered from being homeless. She still recorded but on her terms ... the rest is history....
You don't have to like Joe Rogan or Jewel for that matter... it's a very good interview and has some really good life lessons in there.

"disrespect of all those who bust their ass to try to get to that level, and a show of ignorance."
Plenty of talentless hacks making money there too it's not all hard work it's marketing and some bullshit connections that keep some in the money. Alot of that "management" is exploitation of people who will do anything to be famous and some get canceled for not playing the insiders game.

tuff business
they have to make a lot on the successful ones to pay for all the shit that doesn't make it
some new avenues today and easier for more to get into it and maybe control their own shit...watching a few now...not really into that type of music, but love the way they are going about it and gathering eyeballs and ears. some love the message and effort they give...will spend money just to support THAT aspect of it. i might buy the album, just because -- not the only one, and numbers start to add up with gear and song sales

If it was only that simple.

if you can get a big company behind you with the big music machine...chances are probably better to make it for sure
for those that aren't number 1 draft pics (voice like ariana or Rosé)...there are ways to keep yourself above water financially and visible...giving yourself a longer chance to make it...worse case you become a teaching pro like in golf...maybe making a 100-250k per year with online activities
the smart ones with decent talent are making big bucks online

that would seem to be the trick
